It is later in his life that he spoke of the trees crying out "oh Muslim there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him." Islam teaches that a later "revelation" can cancel out one given before, this is their concept of progressive revelation and it renders all the peace passages in the Koran meaningless.
