Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The 9/12

Is it possible to talk about another principles besides the one about God. This IS NOT a religious forum only. From this point forward I refuse to discuss faith matters.

And unless you are willing to admit that you have made an offense, and move on, I'm done with this conversation. My point is made and I'm tired of being inproperly categorized.

But you still make the assumption. In fact, Muslims do refer to Allah as God. Your assumption is without merit. What about Agnostics and deists or any part of the native American culture. You have no idea where your headed. You just categorize anyone who refers to God in a general sense as Christians. You have offended someone of a different faith and you don't even care. You should just admit that you have a problem with Christianity in general and get over yourself. You told on yourself. There are those of us who come from other points of view who do care about America and believe in a higher power. It's insulting that you just lump us all into bible-thumpers who have nothing better to do than quote scripture. You infer that all who mention god on this website are Christians and it sickens me. I've seen your comments. It's repulsive.

You assume or infer that I am a Christian...Why? Why are you putting that label on me. I made no mention of Christ or Jesus or anything to that end. This is simply outrageous. I AM HORRIBLY OFFENDED THAT YOU WOULD MAKE SUCH AN ASSUMPTION. Categorizing folks by your weak standards is simply belligerent at best and foolish at worst. I knew that if I responded with something about "God" your immediate response would be to belittle my words by making a weak assumption of which you have ZERO frame of reference which is what you have been doing on this website to other users for at least the last few hours. Please decease from putting people into groups if you don't know for sure. Am I a Muslim, Jewish, Hindu? Why can't I be any of these things? Why can't I be agnostic? All those groups believe in 'God' or a higher power as well. As for what I truly believe, I'll leave it up to you to decide. I hope this teaches you a lesson about what ASS-U-ME-ING does. Thanks.

Well, here is the thing, "God" as it's being referenced in this situation is more about what is used in AA as a "higher power." As some of the founders were Deists, it's reasonable to assume that this is what connects us to the founders. You don't have to believe in God to be moral, but it helps. Otherwise, who do you answer to? Why is murder wrong if there is no frame of reference? Where do our rights as human beings come from if there is no god.
