What in the world is this? It isn't about bodies, it's about boobs in a country that's fixated on boobs but goes postal when a nipple is accedentally shown in the media. There it is again. Another case where one was driving so fast he couldn't stop within the distance he could see ahead of the car. It's like going around a curve with your eyes shut. He can be thankful that this time it was only a cow.
You'll know the answer to your question someday when your luck runs out. Overdriving your headlights is as dumb as cutting corners on a blind curve at any speed. You have already had too many breaks. Take some defensive driving training. Don't blame the person, deer, cow, or stalled vehicle in the road when you plow into it at night. "Gee Officer! There it was right in the middle of the road. What was I too do?"
I would have used "violation of the basic rule" but it seems that you and I are among the very few drivers that seem to remember what that means, or practice it.
What's wrong with driving slow enough to stop when you see danger in your headlights? One hand dies from it and the other has to live with it. Tragic!
Don't the cars in Oregon have headlights? They can do a great deal of good if you don't over-drive them.
The best excuse I ever heard was "The fog was so thick we couldn't see a thing then suddenly there was that deer in the road. There was no way we could stop in time."

What the H****! Jail time for disorderly conduct???? They did nothing that would justify putting them in jail which costs more time and money. Making them stop their game and issuing them a "disorderly conduct" ticket and a fine would be the more intelligent thing to do. No wonder the jails are overcrowded.

I've been a conductor for 40 years and I think this whole thing is VERY FUNNY.... yes, even if I were the one on the podium. When the great Toscanini conducted Aida and one of the live elephants dumped on the stage, he told the audience not to laugh. "He (the elephant) was only expressing his opinion."
