yeah, the only problem with the proposed substitution is on one hand we have individuals and on the other is a lifestyle... the point the article makes is not that, for example, gas stations have the right to refuse service to blacks, or asians, or disabled, or southerners, or women, but that they have and should continue to have every right to insist that customers expecting service should wear a shirt and shoes.
