Same thing with meat. Irradiating does the same thing as canning does, it kills all the bateria etc. The problem with canning is the high temperature destroys cell tissue and makes the food takes somewhat bland and mushy. Irradiating doesn't destroy the tissue so the food tastes better and last longer. He is part of the executive branch, a separate and equal arm of government. But now a court order is considered something sacrosanct. Do you know that the federal court can not order a state government to remove a religious symbol from state property? The constitution says "congress shall pass no law..."
