John Henry Browne appears to have reported this to the news outlets, based upon the way the article is written. There is little doubt in my mind that this all has very little to do with Colton and EVERYTHING to do with the John Henry Browne getting more exposure and thus more fame and more money.

It is opportunities for publicity like these that Browne took on Colton's case in the first place. The kid never had the money to pay Browne's rates. The Browne/Harris-Moore relationship is a symbiotic one and the character of each of them should be obvious for everyone to see.

And once again, what he does in his own time is his business. That is until he tries to get the taxpayers, or his employer, school or other governmental entity pay for it when they don't support his activities.

I know very well how it works and when the government gets involved and starts forcing everyone in the collective to pay for contraception via private or public insurance carriers, it gets worse and everyone's prices go up even more,

My point was that at least Rush was paying into a collective out of his own pocket and not demanding that he be allowed to contribute nothing, but collect everything.

Fairly certain that Rush pays for his own insurance and/or health care and is not asking the tax payers to finance drugs so that he can do something that is completely optional, but that he finds pleasurable.

Just curious if you perspective might be different if during his selfish attempt to elude the police this man had collided with and seriously injured or killed your wife and kids, your parents, your brother, sister or someone else important to you.

This was a selfish criminal who cared for nobody else in society and demonstrated that on AT LEAST one occasion. I find it generous of you to care for him, but I consider it misplaced.

Those "one percenters" pay just short of 40% of the total tax burden. In the meantime, the bottom FIFTY PERCENT (yes half) pay less than 3% of that load.

I wonder how many of those 6000 are self defense related. I DO NOT KNOW if it is the case here, but historically, the self defense numbers have been lumped in with the criminal homicides and suicides with no differentiation. To me, there is a huge difference.

Do I think that Obama is an idiot? No, but I am continually disappointed that he gets a pass when Palin is hammered by the media and labeled an idiot for similar offenses. Dan Quayle once misspelled potato and you would have thought the world was going to end. It is nice how the media decides who is "smart" and who is not and we just follow along, never questioning their judgment.
