MetsBlog.com : Pepsi Refresh Pre-Game: Mets vs Brewers - Game Three

That makes NO sense.....I am watching them on MLB.tv vis the WPIX (SNY) feed beacuse the Extra Innings package has the Milwaukee feed. Call MLB (tomorrow may be better time) and see if they have you in the wrong ZIP code. Is your credit card billing address in NY or Milwaukee?

Matt, I'm not pleased to ever agree with Furioso, but it is the Angels, not the D-backs.

It actually IS a good view of the field - you are all the way out in the OF, yet the infield seems amazingly close.

MetsBlog.com : Read: Players are Adjusting to Citi Field

You all know I have my minor critiques of Citi...but it is much nicer than NYS. For less money. At least our new stadium looks like something...new. It is warmer, less sterile, less derivative (not that it isn't somewhat derivative) and the rotuinda and concourse don;t make you feel like you are at O'Hare's United terminal like NYS new "grand hall" or whatever it is called looks like! Plus, I can afford even the priciest of seats at Citi. :-)

That's fine...all gip is saying is do those changes and then the place is perfect! And, he is, understandably, a bit teed off that such stuff is an afterthought for the Wilpons. Is that REALLY whining? Or just being honest?

Just because it was stupidly added for marketing (yet another insult to Mets history by the Wilpons, btw) does not make it a Mets color. Ask any long time fan, up to and including Howie (the font of all Mets knowledge) Rose and Gary (2nd only to Howie in Mets knowledge and love) Cohen. :-) Also, it's hard to tell, but the walls seem a tad lighter than black. I realize I am a traditionalist on this....but it just grinds my gears....so do the 7 different unis/hats, etc.

MetsBlog.com : Opinion: Day 1 in Citi Field

I know it is Wilpon's baby. I just think, as owner of, you know, the Mets, he should have done more to recognize Mets history. You don't. No biggie. I just feel like he still ses the very team he owns as a new expansion team. Good point on the renaming the areas that have generic names for sponsors vs ditching Agee or Seaver for, say, Budweiser. Still...is there nothing that isn't for sale - that can be used to acknowledge / name things for at LEAST the Met greats? Is that really too much to ask? If they never do so, Wilpon better AT LEAST start retiring a few more numbers. FInally, is a blue wall too much to ask for? Anyway, KFS, I respect you and your opinion even when I don't quite share it. You're one of the sane ones around here.

MetsBlog.com : Opinion: Citi Field will Play Big, for now

I am fine with the orange - but it should be blue and orange - as in "the fans are true to the orange and blue!" Fine, you may never get into the Ebbets Club, or the Empire Suites, or the Excelsior Level/Suites, whatever they are....my only issue is WHY NOT name such things for Mets history rather than Dodgers history or generic NY-state related names???????????? I am totally on your side that the stadium overall is great. But why NOTmake it better? Why not make it more Mets-specific?

MetsBlog.com : Note: Church Blames Himself, not new Wall

--All the new stadiums have some trade offs between bringing the fans closer to the field and thus having some blind spots in the corners, etc. --Funny, if I wanted to make sure I had a view of the scoreboard in the outfield, I wouldn't buy outfield seats that face the other way. :-) --As for the lack of Mets history, colors, etc. I wholeheartedly agree that was a huge mistake!
