Do you understand that belief in a Creator does not exclude belief in evolution? Climate change should be discussed in schools, but it should be taught in a balanced manner, because it is NOT settled science. For example, not a single climate model predicted the 18 year lull in temperature rise despite the increase in carbon released. Climate change should be taught as a very poor example of the scientific process.

Your knowledge of fundamentalist religious dogma is woefully inadequate. Christians believe that evolution does not explain creation, but they do believe that evolution is part of God's creation. Just because Christians believe in a Creator, does not mean they are anti-science or don't think evolution exists. To think otherwise is truly ignorant.

I agree, we cannot secure the border. We can however remove the incentives to illegally cross the border. First, stop advertising that that there will be a path to citizenship for people entering illegally. Second, eliminate birth right citizenship. Third, enforce the existing laws against employing illegals. Fourth, enforce the existing laws against providing welfare and food stamps to illegals. Fifth, enforce expired visas with large fines for over staying and immediate deportation. None of these actions require any new legislation from Congress. Obama can do this on his own.

The depletion allowance is the same as depreciation of an asset for any other corporation. The depreciation allowance only applies to small oil companies. Most of the hits were of people complaining about subsidies without stating what the subsidies are. There are also hits about Democratic politicians announcing bills to end big oil subsidies again without stating what the subsidies are. Subsidies and tax breaks for big oil are urban myths.

Marriage is a religious (Christian, Judaism, Muslim) institution defined in scriptures as a union between a man and a woman. This definition predates our government by thousands of years. For a government to assert that marriage is now defined as a union between any two people violates the first amendment. The government is establishing a religious institution.

Immigration is under the sole control of the federal government. Arizona has been sued by the justice department for enforcing immigration law. Bush's record in Texas has nothing to do with immigration. Bush wanted an amnesty program, but could not get it through congress. When Obama could not get immigration reform through Congress, he just stopped enforcing the law. The lack of law enforcement has caused this current invasion across our border.

I read the entire article and did not see one fossil or nuclear subsidy listed. The claim that there are huge oil and gas subsidies is a myth. The claim has been made so many times, people think it is a fact. Just because some one says something, doesn't make it a fact, especially when a politician says it. I am not the one making the claim that there is a $52B subsidy to the oil and gas industry. If YOU make a claim or state a fact, YOU need need to back it up. In order to make a claim, or state a fact, you must have read it some where. If you can't produce a valid link, one can only assume you are making things up.

How can estimates be "credible" with such a wide range? One credible estimate is $14B and another is nearly four times higher at $52B? It doesn't seem very credible to me that there is a 4x difference in estimates. Someone's estimate is very wrong. Please provide a link to these credible estimates.

You are spouting BS. You make general statements with no back up. Please give a link to the "examination of the American tax code" that shows what these tax breaks and subsidies are. I doubt you can, because the is such thing as the "American" tax code. Capital investments are not taxed. Any company is allowed to depreciate capital investments.

Congress only gave the EPA the right to regulate surface water. Since fracking happens thousands of feet below the surface, the regulations do not apply. There was never any exemption granted.
