West Ham Till I Die : Piquionne Off to Wolves & Match Preview: Portsmouth v West Ham

I lost a lot of respect for Pic after Wigan away last season his performance was a disgrace and we should have got shot of him in the summer. His wages will be better spent on another striker who wants to impress every week. Please sign Johnson from Fulham he would score a hatfull for us, plays in a number of positions, has bags of experience in both leagues and doesnt stop running for 90mins worth every penny! I hope today is the turning point and we win comfortably it would set us up for the run in. COYI!

West Ham Till I Die : Would We Really Want Zamora Back?

My mate plays for Fulham apparently Bobby has lost the plot. Cant be bothered to play shows no interest on the training pitch and generally bad attitude. Hasnt fallen out with Jol but but with football in general. My advice would be to stay well clear!

Its very refreshing to read some positive comments about West Ham. Say what you want about Sam he is a winner and a bloody good manager Proven! We havent had that for quite some time so hats of to The Davids. They have also funded transfers from their own wealth and have an honest love for the club. I am taking my two young children to the game tomorrow for the first time because i honestly believe we will see a team play for 90+ mins and give 100% and i want them to be a part of it as fans. I havent been able to do that before now because I didnt want to put them off for life watching the drivel offered up for the last 2 years! By the way i personally know Andrew Johnson, he wants to play for WH but would appear Martin Jol wants to keep him. Fayed on the other hand is not so keen to offer him an improved contract so there could be a deal done. Oh and David Gold is the one willing to pay for him out of his own funds! he is also fitter than he has been for well over 2 years and his knee problem is totally healed. Id love to see him wear the claret and blue he is a totally committed footballer and a really decent fella.

West Ham Till I Die : Who Are the Two Other Transfer Targets?

Good post SJ, cant wait for tonight not going to a ticket office cock up but am going to the pub hopefully to celebrate. I think we have made some good signings with limited resources but could do with the creativity of Cole or Benayoun I would love to see either one return. Got to say £6mil for Keane worries me. I think all the recent turmoil is giving our team are real spirit and we will win the cup and stay up, only for Gullivan to take all the credit and say they done it on purpose!

West Ham Till I Die : The Sorry Saga Continues...

What a shambles this sorry affair has become why on earth did it take so long to make a statement when It was plainly obvious O'neill wasn't to be our new manager. I must say I could never see him agreeing in the first place not because he is too good for us although I'm sure he thinks he is but because who in their right mind would want to work for this idiotic regime. How further into the gutter can our once highly respected football club be dragged? I fear relegation is now a formality and wouldn't be at all surprised to see us comprehensively beaten next Wednesday. I like all true supporters are appalled by the treatment of our last two managers. Is it any wonder with owners like ours they have both struggled? I say from this point on every effort should be made to make Avram Grant feel wanted if not by his employers but by every fan at every game from now until the end of the season. This situation has made me embarrassed to be a supporter of West Ham United F.C. And we were told a year ago our club was now in safe hands! LIERS!

I agree with you, it does seem a tad classless. Which means it must be true! I have reservations over O'neill but he has to be a better option for the club, although if were relegated I fear we will be seeking another manager again. So much for stability!

I cant see how the news breaking in the middle of the night by an insider at the club on the eve of a massive derby is treating somebody with dignity. Never the less you are correct in saying he was never the right man for the job. My concern would be is O'neill? After all he left Villa having spent a fair few quid saying he wasn't getting enough funds. Will this not happen to a far greater effect at WH. On the whole it will be a coup for Gullivan but their style or lack of it makes me puke. I will believe it when I see him on the touchline! Here's to the matter in hand Beating Arsenal, although this news may have scuppered any chance of that happening!

There are a hell of a lot of ifs and buts here. Behrami £6mil+ are you serious? I think £3mil is about right maybe 4 if were lucky. Surely on the day of a semifinal your topic should be about the game and the possibility of a final, maybe europe and spurring us on to saving the season? Come on raise the bar a bit Iain! If Martin O'neill becomes our next manager I will eat my season ticket credit card swipe card thing! If Wayne Bridge were to sign on loan it looks as though we will be paying his huge salary and that fills me with worry. We are skint have they forgotten this I thought we were trying to reduce the wages at the club? He's not a bad player but to be fair, but surely there are some decent full backs out there that will cost far less? It stinks of the desperation to me. I have the feeling there are a quite a few supporters who would prefer to see us lose tonight to force the issue with Grant leaving, I am most certainly not one of them. I will be there tonight in full support of him and the team! Irons!!!!

West Ham Till I Die : The Martin O'Neill Rumours Gather Pace

Its hard to defend him and most of your points are valid. Although i dont agree that Houlier is a bad manager. Sometimes it takes time for managers to get their points across. We are watching football these days where there is no time given for that to happen, owners want results and have no patience. Most players have no loyalty and are money driven while us fans just want what we may have seen 20 years ago. The other thing is we are simply not very good anymore and that has come from the fact we have been brought to our knee by shit owners bad decisions and bad luck. We are lucky to still be in the top flight we should have kept Zola but I refer to my earlier point! I do think and always have thought Avram is the type of manager who is fortunate to be where he is and there are plenty others I'd rather see managing us but the fact is he is our manager and in m opinion should remain so until the season is over. Support him as fans offer him funds as owners and hopefully the players will develop a bond with him and we will progress. Keep changing because we are not half way up the table at christmas and our predicament will remain the same. I have seen us play effective attacking football this season but consistency has been our biggest problem in my opinion. We are lacking a decent goal scorer and centre half other than that we could be and should be much better than we have been so far this season. Look at Newcastle on Wednesday and their result today for example who would have thought it possible? it will not surprise me if we beat Arsenal next home game and are climbing the table very soon on the other hand it does look like we are going to be relegated, if so blame the owners and players. I agree ultimately it is his team but in all honesty it never should have been! Heres a question would you settle for being relegated and winning the league cup? I think I would. Does that make me a shit fan or one who wants to see a successful team.

Actually soldier tom I,ve been to every other home game and 6 away games this season. Your point is what? My point is change him for who? I was all for Pardew but thats too late. O'neill is not for me personally I would take Houlier and Hodgson every time but look at their records they are no better than our own manager? The truth is this league is tough and there are few weak teams, we will stay up if we keep believing and grow as a team, sacking our manager now will not bring us any joy in my opinion. Saying that I think it was a bad apointment from the outset and basically the cheap option and maybe the owners will pay the price. We are at a critical point in the season and a stones throw from making it to Wembley and potentially playing in europe next season. If we get relegated it will be something we are capable of coming back from better and stronger. I just dont see every problem this season as being the managers the players have been awful and thats the truth they are not good enough and their attitudes stink.

Martin O'neill? whats all the fuss about him anyway is it me or is he being made out to be some sort of legendary manager. He would never come to us anyway after all he left villa through a lack of funds. Stick with Avram unless Sir Alex gets the sack in the next week. Im sure the last time we were seen at Wembley was a lot longer than 5 years ago also! Come on get behind the team and manager this kind of post is pointless in my opinion.
