Dumb . . . this story actually being considered news; dumber . . . anyone being upset about a human error that anyone could make, and is easy to fix; dumbest . . . posting her license on the internet. Now, the family will sue KOMO for identity theft, and they'll deny because, hopefully, they got parental consent to post the picture (which might be dumber than the dumbest).

"Two of Samantha's cousins tell the station that their 19-year-old brother had stopped at a stop sign and made a turn before striking the girls with his car." -- soooo, the girls were run over by one of their cousin's brothers. Wouldn't that mean she was run over by her cousin? I never realized this type of in-breeding occurs in Pennsylvania.

please tell me where in the Bible it says that pastors should drive old cars, and live in small houses. I agree that there are many so-called "churches" out there on TV and other places that are in it for the money, but I have also personally known several pastors who are down to earth people that are very giving, and happen to live in houses bigger than 1800 square feet because they have three or four children, and provide for their family, as the Bible says they should. Many pastors do not even determine their salary. The Leadership Committees do, based on a reasonable budget.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Local woman to share foreclosure horrors with D.C. officials | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weat

So, how many of you have ever gotten a company to pay you back when their stock dropped in price? I mean, it's only fair that they repay us for our losses in an investment, right? I'm not saying it's fun, and I have many friends who are in this housing predicament, but they are not travelling to DC to be the poster child for an administration that wants to abdicate all personal responsibility for everyone. You make an investment, you take a risk . . . period. Sometimes, you make a bundle (like many homeowners who sold in 2005/2006) and sometimes you lose a bundle. It's all part of the risk. I don't know of anyone who decided to pay the bank more money than they owed the bank when the market was giving them unusually high profits. Deal with it

I wish people would have more respect for a man who did so much good for so many. None of us really know the conversations that occurred over the course of the whole child rape issue. The general public wants to throw this guy under the bus as a criminal, and 99% are not privy to all the facts. Sure, he said he wished he'd done more. Many people say that when friends or family commit suicide, but they only realized how bad things were after the fact. I'm sure we have all been in situations where something happens, and we report it to the next person in line of authority, and trust them to handle it properly, since it is their area of expertise more than ours. That is probably what happened with JoePa (obviously my guess because I don't know all the details either). Mr. Paterno did many good things and for that, I say "Rest in Peace, JoePa"

Totally correct!! The job of a "representative", regardless of party , is to represent her constituents, regardless of party affiliation. I say kudos to Ms. Haugen for doing the right thing, rather than doing what she wants or what people are attempting to bully her into doing.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Online gambling fight now about when - not if | National & World News | Seattle News, Weather, Sport

Unfortunately, I don't see Washington state being anywhere near the first state to allow online poker. It blows me away that we in this state can push for legalization of marijuana and same-sex marriage, yet try to keep people from playing a game online. No matter where one is on their belief system, we have to admit that there is no consistency in how the legislators in this state decide what they want and don't want. There are many, many people who enjoy online gaming like poker, and who will have no problem paying applicable taxes and fees to play. We just want to play. When it was legal back in the day, I played a few hours here and there, and probably spent $80/month. That is ALOT less than people pay to support their drinking or smoking habit, which has a much higher chance of causing self-damage than poker. We have budget issues. There are thousands in this state willing to help out, just by enjoying their hobby (or , in some cases, making a good living). Let the playing begin legally once again.
