I think they will have to weasel Shane out of this and let him pick someone to represent him, but its odd that they went ahead and announced it was a Hell in a Cell on top of the match itself, so it sort of makes me think that they are going to go forward and do this.

I think a HIAC match makes sense because you don't expect any actual wrestling but just bumps and brawling, which Shane was always good at taking bumps but let's face it, he wasn't ever in there technically wrestling.

I just don't think it's believable that he would beat UT at WM, where he is next to unbeatable. I think they want to make something be on the line but Shane can't win believably in Taker's HOME STATE!

What if you do pick Cena? Then people are forced to cheer for Cena against Taker in the Taker's back yard?? Huh? People will want Shane to win Raw but they won't want to cheer for Cena that's confusing.

That only leaves one solution to all this. Pick a wrestler that is also from texas and is as old as the Undertaker but still would be believable if they fought, and they need it to be a punch, kick, and brawl fight in the HIAC... That's right Shane picks the one man who ever consistently got over on Vince, THE TEXAS RATTLESNAKE, STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!

I agree it hasn't been but 24/7 would just degrade it even more. I think they could bring the IC title back to prominence but they need to just give it to a guy on the brink of being a top-tier guy and just let him dominate it for about a year. Throwing it back and forth is what degrades it and makes it seem like a cheap, limited time push.

I like the two he does for Podcast One. I hope he continues to do those as well, because he tells it straight up and doesn't pull punches.

If you listen to Steve Austin's podcast it doesn't sound like he has any interest in ever wrestling again. I guess that could change but he's 49 himself now and he hasn't wrestled in 11 years. Wm31 would be 12.

Definitely count me in that 10% then. My wife went away on business overnight for ONE night and I was texting her at 8:30pm telling her I missed her.

I'll be interested to see the numbers after this month. This is the last month of that 6 month commitment people had to make to get WM30. I've canceled mine so I'll get to see Summerslam and then I'm out.

I suggest people listen to Vince Russo on the Steve Austin show recently. Cornette said Russo killed Owen Hart. Russo gets very emotional. Great convo

I assume it would be good if they could pull it off but I'm pretty sure even during the roster split that Smackdown never did the numbers that Raw did. Once Cena became "Cena", they just moved him to Raw. Pretty much the only huge star Smackdown got for a long time that I can think of is Undertaker. Usually they would move the most popular guys to Raw. Raw has always been treated as the more important show.

Then again, i didn't like the roster split and it's a reason i didn't watch wrestling for many years.

What I find funny about the Hall of Fame is, isn't it just a list of people? There is no physical building, is there? Baseball, Football, Basketball, Rock n' Roll HOF's all are actual standing structures. WWE HOF is just a virtual list of people. Besides the ceremony, after that one night is it even a big deal? It's more like a title for these past wrestlers than anything else. I guess the same could be said for athletes. Not like Cal Ripken goes and looks at his bust in Cooperstown. But still..

It would be cool if they put in some sort of wing to the training facilities they have that would act as a HOF.
