My experiment was to run the clock off of 120 volts instead of 12 volts. I wanted to see if the clock would run faster or at the same speed. I ran the clock for 22 seconds before it melted down. It kept perfect time. It seems to me if AC voltage was kept at a constant, perfect 60hz, there will be no problems. 60hz is the same in Texas, the West Coast, the East Coast and the same everywhere else in the USA. Build some better inverters. This is what God and Nikolai Tesla wanted. Vary the voltage instead. Plus or minus 10% deviation to the consumer is acceptable. The county council needs to raise the rates that bus riders pay. That is completely fair. We all expect some kind of subsidy to be paid by drivers, but the portion that drivers pay should be kept at an equitable level as those who ride the buses. You can include ferries as well. As long as these public systems are run by politicians, they will always bleed in the red. They don't know how and I think they do it on purpose.
