I think generally these principles are correct. The second principle seems contrary to the religious freedom the Founding Fathers were after.

Different people view their connection to a deity differently (some as center of their lives, some as partners, to some religion is a philosophy, some don't believe at all), and still share the remaining principles.

IMHO the second principle should be toned down at least in recognition of the freedom of religion principles espoused by the founders.
