There really is no bad situation that May cannot make worse...

May's OPT BACK IN / BRINO WA is utter cr@p – with or without the Backstop. She and her left-wing/ultra 'liberal' (Blairite) crew are either incompetent or complicit/duplicitous. May should always be judged by what she does, rather than almost anything she says. May (and her crew) must be publically investigated (for wrong doing, incompetence, collusion, etc) when she eventually steps down or is removed. Perhaps, she may be allowed to keep the gold plated pension?

A 'culturally appropriate' solution might be to repatriate Begum (and child) back to her country of origin – Bangladesh? If her family in the UK also elected to surrender their UK nationality/passports, they could also be sponsored/funded to join her there on a permanent basis? Alternatively, perhaps the government could arrange a long-term residency for Begum at the ever popular 'inclusive/diverse' Guantanamo Bay resort?

The current constitutional impasse really demonstrates Parliament's contempt for voters, its determination to reverse/corrupt the Referendum vote, and it exposes the true scale/nature of the Westminster 'swamp'.

Problematically, May is not really a 'conservative'. She, together with her acolytes and most Conservative/Labour MPs in Parliament, is actually a centre Left/ultra 'liberal', just like Tony Blair, Cameron (Blair's heir), the Clintons, etc. May was a hopeless Home Secretary, and has proved to be an even worse Prime Minister. She says one thing, then does something else. She has redlines, until she doesn't. It's impossible or it's the only option, until it isn't. Judge her by what she does, not what she says.

No one voted in the Referendum for an OPT BACK IN, BRINO, compromise/capitulation WA (May's deal), which is utter cr@p, with or without the Backstop. And this, after she rejected Tusk's offer of a simple free-trade WA in March 2018, and none of the Remain camp has hardly bothered to consider the EU's own Report (November 2017) about how a frictionless Irish border could be achieved. May is either incompetent (and clearly should not be negotiating anything), and/or complicit/duplicitous (and has been colluding with her political/ideological counterparts). Either way, she is responsible, and when the dust settles, she (and her crew) should be thoroughly/publically investigated.

Under Article 50, the only two legitimate options are – leave with a WA, or leave without a WA. Therefore, in the absence of a WA that actually respects the people and/or the Referendum vote (May's doesn't), leaving the EU without a WA is presently the only legitimate option. So, from a trade perspective, it's rational that WTO (GATT) Article 24 (or similar options) should be considered, as a temporary/interim measure. Ostensibly, it appears to be far more palatable than May's OPT BACK IN WA – it's quick, convenient, readymade, equitable, flexible, feasible, available, mitigates disruption, offers a simple free-trade option, only takes two to tango... and it doesn't cost £39BN.

May has already done a huge amount of damage to her party, democracy, and the country, and the sooner she is replaced, the better. Perhaps, the DUP could help? Unlike May, they are properly Conservative, they'd probably be able to provide (loan or lease) a replacement leader (to take back control and oppose toxic left-wing ultra 'liberal' ideology), and they also have some negotiating competence/capability.

Why does this hopeless PM continue to persist with this desperately bad (with or without a Backstop) Withdrawal Agreement (WA)? The sooner this 'suspect' PM is replaced by a proper/genuine Conservative, the better.

Contrary to what May has said, there were many, various Brexit WA options, which she (and her cabal) just decided to ignore. The mismanagement, incompetence, lack of imagination and ambition of her 'capitulation' WA deal is as astonishing as it is incomprehensible. No one is demanding new negotiations now, or expecting the EU to turn around and provide a better deal – it has already said that it won't. If applied as a temporary/interim measure, and properly managed/prepared for, the so-called 'catastrophic, cliff-edge, hard Brexit no deal' option (on WTO terms), alternatively known as simply 'free trade' by others (although it doesn't sound quite as scary), offers a far better option than her wretched WA deal. Whether this occurs following a period of suspension or extension of the process doesn't really matter, as long as the destination is known. The UK would then be in the 'disastrous' position of being able to immediately set its own trade tariffs, and start comprehensive free trade deal negotiations with the EU (and any other country), at its leisure, without even being bound (in perpetuity or otherwise) by May's 'superb', legally binding WA deal conditions. The UK would also need to retain the £39BN (or more likely £60BN plus) that May wants to give to the EU (for seemingly no substantive reason), and of course, May would also be compelled to resign/step down (which in itself would greatly reduce 'risk and uncertainty') and be replaced by a 'sound' Conservative. In such a scenario, the EU will be far more 'motivated'/interested than it has been in securing a trade deal with the UK.

May was a hopeless Home Secretary, and has been a hopeless Prime Minister. As a (left-wing/ultra) 'liberal' leader, she has more in common with her counterparts in the EU and the Labour Party, than any pro-leave MP in her own party. The sooner she is replaced, the better, particularly should an early GE arise, which she would lose big time. What is required now is a properly dry, right wing leader, who actually reflects the views/opinions of Conservative leaning voters in the country, and who is committed to opposing (left-wing/ultra) 'liberal' ideology, as systematically funded and advocated by the EU (whether you like it or not).

It's time for the EU to (stop laughing) and to start sweating...

Fundamentally, the main problem here is that you've got one (left-wing/ultra) 'liberal' leader 'negotiating' (or colluding) with another (left-wing/ultra) 'liberal' institution – May (together with her cabal and the establishment) on the one hand, the EU (and the establishment) on the other, that are both determined to emasculate the great majority of the electorate/people. Until the Tories rid themselves of these 'faux/plastic' Conservatives, there'll be little prospect of achieving a positive/acceptable Brexit outcome, and the risk and uncertainty will continue.

Prospectively, the first thing a new (exceedingly dry, properly right-wing) Conservative leader should do is to withdraw the UK's support/ratification for the horrendously 'liberal' United Nations Migrant Pact (aimed at further restricting 'free speech') that May has just enthusiastically endorsed. And, No, you weren't consulted.

Incidentally, has anyone thought of asking the DUP to negotiate the Brexit WA on the UK's behalf... at least they have some idea about how to negotiate?

On the same day that May decides to 'bottle' (U-Turn on) the Brexit Meaningful Vote, she surreptitiously signs the UK up to the appalling United Nations Migrant Pact, which represents yet another major assault on 'free speech' ... as if any further evidence of May's left wing, ultra 'liberal' credentials was required.

The Conservative Party urgently requires a properly dry, right wing leader (not another plastic Tory), who is committed to opposing left wing/ultra 'liberal' ideology, and to save itself from the likelihood of electoral annihilation/extinction, when May is eventually replaced.

Yes, I believe the 'catastrophic', 'no deal' option (on WTO terms) is also known as 'free trade'. Of course, this outcome would present considerable 'risk and uncertainty'. It may be necessary for the UK to keep the £39BN (or more likely £60BN plus) that May wants to give to the EU. The UK would then be in the ('disastrous') position of being able to immediately start comprehensive free trade deal negotiations with the EU (and others), at its leisure, without even being bound by May's 'superb', legally binding deal conditions. It would also be necessary for May to step-down/resign, and be replaced by a 'sound' Conservative. Keeping all that money... unconditional free trade negotiations... new Conservative leader... for goodness sake, what will the EU think?
