For those who are not so narrow minded that they don't care... get in touch with the Sullivans or The Few The Proud The Forgotten!!!! FIND OUT MORE!!!!! Everybody needs to know more about this tragedy! This was an act of treason against the people of Camp LeJeune and our country!!!! WHY did someone decide NOT to close those wells as soon as they knew of the contamination??? WHY??? What did they get out of it??? I bet they didn't drink the water!!!! PLEASE HEL evP the Sullivans and anybody effected by the BAD water of Camp LeJeune!!! Contact anybody and everybody in Congress!! LET THEM KNOW you know and you're not going to put up with this travesty!!!!! Let me say again contact the Sullivans or The Few The Proud The Forgotten (tftptf.com).
THEY KNEW the wells were contaminated way before John or myself even got to that base!!!!! THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED!!!!!!!!John and his wife are in contact with the The Few The Proud The Forgotten.Together they are trying to educate everybody besides getting help for ALL THOSE EFFECTED. Marines were not the only ones effected! Navy personnel and dependents of those serving there. Those dependents can not use VA benefits unless they served. Many couldn't even get into the military even if they tried because of health issues from the bad water!!!
He gave up his freedom for you and now his health and maybe his LIFE and he doesn't even know you. Every single person who enlists in the military knows they may be giving up their life for their country ....for you! But they do not expect to have health problems and for some....a slow...painful death that could have been prevented IF....let me repeat myself.....IF.... someone had reported the facts that had been reported to them and NOT COVERED them up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John is not begging! His wife is asking for help! He can't get a job with his health problems!! She has to take care of him and drive him to his medical appointments. Do you know of an employer who would hire someone who has seizures and other health problems that cause that person to miss alot of work???? Or hire someone who is constantly taking off to take care of family medical issues???
The specialists that get paid to help people in pain ARE getting paid!!!! The Sullivans DO NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!! Treatment for John is not guaranteed for an issue that is not service related. They are trying to get a service connected disability for the results of the Camp LeJeune BAD water not only for John but for all those effected!! The VA has told me that I will be denied because there is NO PRECEDENT for the Camp LeJeune BAD water cases!!!!!
As far as John looking overweight in the photto... the medication he is taking might be could be the causeof that and also sometimes when you have a health problem you gain weight from the problem itself!!! He's not the only one out here that has a weight problem. There's plenty of people who like food. He's not asking you to send him to a spa to lose weight! His wife is asking for help to cure or stop the necrosis in his brain!!!!
The Sullivans are not as fortunate as some other Marines that have medical insurance (hard to have when you don't have a job to pay for it) !! The VA currently does not know enough about the treatments for many of the problems caused by the BAD water! Even though they may be doing the best they can, it is not enough !!! The insured have a better chance of getting the latest available help!!! When you are suffering from something that is killing your brain cells(these don't regenerate!) you need to get help as fast as you can!! You can't wait for social security to get approved or that big settlement that you might get years from now because then might be too late! You might be dead!
Obviously you missed the CNN report on the male Marines from Camp LeJeune that suffered from breast cancer. Need I remind you of the chances of males getting breast cae of cancer??? It was noted that Camp Lejeune was a place of cancer clusters. Does anybody remember Love Canal??? It's been stated that this situation is much worse!!! So NO he is not the only one around that is claiming to have been contaminated!!!!!!
There are many many Marines out there that do not know they were drinking BAD water! They may think as I did that I was just an unlucky in health. I thought that way UNTIL I found out about all the different chemicals I was ingesting for three years and what they could do when you ingest them just once!!! Not every single person that was there got sick and or those that did, it did not manifest itself in everybody the same way. Some were effected more than others. Not everybody has the same immune system or body make-up! I ,myself, have had 2 different types of cancer besides various other health problems.
This is ba direct response to all the questions that "another-op" has. I can't answer for John Sullivan but I can answer as another contaminated Marine. I was atedt Camp LeJeune for 3 years. When I got there I told others the water tasted funny. It's not funny now! I, too, have health problems and if you look on the website for The Few The Proud The Forgotten(tftptf.com.) you will see we are not the only ones saying we were exposed and having health issues!!!
