Everyone who opposed the health care bill seems to think the majority of the people opposed it. They just can't seem to get it through their heads that the majority they speak of is just the very small circle of friends and family they hang with. If they cared to enter into dialog with people who were not of like mind, they just might learn something.

Rev. Tom, I dare to say that your denomination is probably more open minded and offers a better sense of community that others. If all religions really did advocate the Golden Rule, then there should be a lot of Catholic priests with sore bottoms.

Oh, come on! When did the practice of embedding journalists begin? DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION! Your attempt to blame the Democrats for this happening is such a stretch. The General said things that he shouldn't have. More than that, if that was his attitude towards his commander-in-chief, then he should be fired. Better yet, he should have resigned much earlier. What I'm wondering is where is all the outrage from you military persons over the general's conduct? Orders are orders, regardless of what you may personally believe, right?

One, I'm not part of any "team". I think for myself. Two, Saying that Obama is the "Messiah" is, in the Christian belief system, cursing (or sinning) in itself re: the first Commandment. Three, I don't care for Janeane Garafolo and certainly wouldn't parrot anything she says. Four, To say that I think Obama is a god, or that I think of him as a god or that anybody else thinks of him as a god without them actually saying it themselves, is offensive to me. I tire of the folks here who can't carry on a conversation without putting words into an others mouth or claiming that others think a certain way without they themselves ever having said so. When an Obama supporter actually says that they think he's the messiah, then by all means crawl all over them. Until then, quit putting false gods before your own on the behalf of others. (This was also intended to address the comment made by GregTheHammer, above)

My first thought upon hearing this was exactly the same thing. The people we elect to pass laws are too chicken to touch this one for fear of retribution at that polls. Have these guys even considered that they may be alienating the people who vote by NOT addressing this issue?

You know, John, as irritating as this guy is because he cannot carry a conversation, cannot utter an intelligent thought, can only repeat himself with copy and paste, is unable to respond to a question with a real answer, has a one track mind, no apparent grasp of reality, a complete hatred for all things not him, has no understanding of politics, and in my opinion, is sexually frustrated because he can't find a man who finds him attractive, he really can be a lot of fun to play with.

How many times does one patient make appointments with more than one doctor in the same day where getting from one to the other is a major hassle? I don't see this being a huge advantage to the patients as much as it would be to the doctors. In addition, I firmly believe that if their proposal to close 2nd Avenue is rejected, PCI will still build with modifications to their proposed building. If location and proximity to both hospitals really is important, why would they leave that area? It makes sense to me that they could build the first two floors of their facility with parking structures on either side of the street and with the use of elevators, sky walks, or even by building over 2nd Avenue, they could just as easily accommodate their patients. Besides all that, it should eliminate the need to move all the underground sewers and utilities below Second Avenue.
