KOMO - Seattle, WA : Port Angeles teacher accused of child rape | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Break

This is a case of a very troubled adopted teen who got mad at his dad, and is now making these accusations against a well known and well respected teacher/father. I hope the truth comes out very soon, so that this teacher can get on with his life and back to teaching. Many people in our community respect Mr. Brinkman and believe he is innocent. I will not post things I know about his son, but he is a very troubled teen. I just hope that Mr. Brinkman is able to get back to his normal life when all of this is proven to be false accusations.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : State law requires many no-vaccine kids to get doc\'s note | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weathe

I have a personal objection to 1 vaccine(varicella/chickenpox) for each of my children, but they have had all the other vaccines. The reason for the exemption is that they have both had chickenpox before it was required to have the vaccine for school, and I don't want to subject them to this vaccine when they have already had the virus. Otherwise, I am all for vaccines and think that all children should be vaccinated.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Broken appliances: Repair? Or replace? | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Breaking News | KOMO News |

Boy tell me about it...I have had to replace 2 appliances recently. One was a Kenmore washer that was only a year and a half old (shortly after the warranty expired, it died). The transmisson went out, and it would cost 350 to repair it, when I only paid 500 for it brand new. I decided to get a new one, because who knows when something else will break on it. The other was my fridge. I had a nice stainless side by side GE fridge that is only a few years old that decided to die. It would cost almost as much to repair it as I bought my new one for. I bought a nice bottom freezer model that I like better than the side-by-side model anyways. Now, if another appliance breaks, I'm gonna scream!! They DO NOT make appliances like they used to!!

Not arguing with you, Just wondering.....I can't seem to find any info on the property tax exemptions. I find info on disabled and elderly, but nothing on "foster or multiple adoptive parenting in Wa. State". Wondering where you got this info from.

We are foster parents here in Washington. The worst sexual behavior we saw was actually from a 4 year old. So, age does not have anything to do with it. Even at 4 he was exposing himself to our children and other things.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Father, daughter disappear during camping trip | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and Weat

FYI: the only road out of the campground is the cement road. He would have to drive on the cement road for a couple blocks to get onto highway 112. Then drive several miles west on this highway and turn off the highway to the south to get on the logging road he was on. Then he drove 3 miles up this dirt logging road in the dark. I just have to wonder what was really going on? And our local paper reports that there are tracks leading down the power lines. Why would he walk down the power lines in the dark instead of back down the road that he knows leads to the highway. The powerlines go for many miles through the woods. It will be interesting to see what happens. I hope nothing bad, and that they find them safe somewhere.

I live close to this area and have camped here before. It is a cement road all the way until the loop that the campground is on. It's maybe a block of dirt road. I don't know what video you saw, but the car would have had no problem driving on this very short dirt road, of approx 1 block as I said before.

There are several logging roads out by this campground and he could have gone down any one of them to try and calm her. Some of these go for many miles and connect over to other roads. He could have gotten lost. Or, there are many of these roads with steep cliffs on the side. I hope he didn't go off the road somewhere. Especially with a crying baby in the backseat, possibly on a logging road, in the dark. I hope they find them all safe.

Our daughter was bit by her grandmothers dog when she was 5, for no reason. The dog just came up to her and bit her. She had 2 huge gashes. Our daughter was barely ever around the dog. We also have several dogs of our own. So, she knows how to treat dogs and would never do anything to hurt or tease one. So, YES, dogs do bite without being provoked.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Costco to accept food stamps nationwide | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and Weather - S

Yes, I had to be on food stamps about 15 years ago for a couple years. I would never have been able to shop at Costco at that time. Every extra dollar I had went to paying bills. Also, you save much more money buying stuff on sale at other stores and using coupons. I do shop at Costco all the time, but that is because I am well off enough to be able to afford it!

I believe that if someone did truly commit a executable crime (confessed to it, or have overwhelming evidence such as videotape of the crime, etc) then they should be executed. And not long, drawn out appeals, etc, but they should be executed ASAP. I also believe the execution method should be that of what they did to their victim (an eye for an eye). Now, if there is even a shred of doubt as to the guilt of a person, then I don't believe they should be executed, as we have seen several instances where they find out the person is innocent after they have spent several decades in prison or were executed.

I am also a foster parent, and I am irritated with what the CPS staff themselves get away with when they want to. Like favoring family of staff members. Not doing background checks on people they know, and letting them have unsupervised contact with children without any background checks. Also, getting waivers for criminal backgrounds, when the law clearly states that if someone has been convicted of certain crimes, they cannot have unsupervised contact with children.
