I read that Springfield is not participating, as is many of our surrounding cities. It is such a bummer!

I am thinking we should spend the "extra" money on our schools in Missouri, not inmates! So many of our schools are also over crowded, and run down as well. Who is more important here? Where is the promised money, and improvements? Just my thoughts though!

Because, the school system is not already short on money! Let's add more un-needed spending to the already stretched budget. Our schools are falling short in many areas, finances especially. How much more can our children suffer becuase of money being spent on anything else but educating our kids. I am really scared for the future of our schools in Missouri, especially here in Greene County. I am all for keeping people accountable for their spending, but it seems a little extreme to me. I just think the money could be spent elsewhere.
I wonder if the plan is to re-open WOW at the same time as the new hotel. Hhmm?? That way it is more of a "draw" for people. Meanwhile, families and people coming to Bass Pro are the ones that get the short end. I would say, make use of what is ready, allow people in or do education programs. Anything is better than just sitting there.
