Pam Roach was the main reason I refused to allow SEIU to use any part of my union dues for their PAC, I absolutely refused to support her, not even for my union. They don't call it a Political Action Committee, but it is. For all you union haters, whenever a vote that affected the union would come up she would vote for it because she knew that the union would provide monetary support for her campaign. She knew which side of the bread her butter was on. How bad do you have to be to have your own caucus throw you out, then be so desparate to get the votes to pass bad legislation you let her back in again. You can denigrate Ken all you want, but I wll give him a thousand TU for awarding his shramie to this person. And all because she is a Republican and voted with them, BUYING her position back into the caucus.

I don't know this for a fact, but someone reported that Georgetown provides contraceptives for its employees.Does anyone know if this is true? If true then why, knowing that birth control pills can be used for certain medical requirements, do they exclude this from the insurance they offer the students?

For years the conservative have threatened to boycott certain businesses because they didn’t like what was said or advertised. They cost Whoopie Goldburg her job as spokeswoman for Slim Fast with something she said about Pres. Bush. Look at what they did to the Dixie Chicks because they said they were ashamed to be from the same state as Bush. They called for boycotts on Hallmark because they used a sign that said “Happy Holidays” instead “Merry Christmas”. They’ve tried to get Ellen DeGeneris fired as a spokeswomen for J. C. Penny’s because she was gay. It’s about time that they discover that boycotts can work both ways. Quicken Loans, Sleep Train and Sleep Number, Citrix Systems Inc., Carbonite, LegalZoom and now Proflowers have, for the moment, suspended their advertising. I don't know how many times some of you have to be reminded that TAXPAYERS ARE NIOT PAYING FOR THE BIRTH CONTROL. Apparently one has to scream as loud as they can to make any kind of impression over the ones THAT SIMPLY REFUSE TO LISTEN. The people providing insurance for workers and schools (especially religous schools) providing insurance for students will not include insurance coverage for contrceptives, forcing people to pay full price out of pocket for that medicine. When Limbaugh declared that taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for Fluks sex life and called her a slut and a prostitute he was mudding the waters, knowing full well that if he mentioned the word "taxpayers", he would immeadiately turn fools into screaming maniacs. You have been manipulated into the screaming right by the master of manipulation. You have been used. He lied and you believed him because you truley do want to believe the worst of people. And that, IMO, is downright pittiful.

Name me one medical reason for Viagra or Cialis. It is for men to get an erection and an erection is generally for only one reason. It is claimed that being able to have sex contributes to their mental health well being and their prostate. It seems to me that contributing to women's mental health well being, by allowing her contraceptives to prevent an unwanted pregnancy by the guy taking the Viagra, is just as important.

Wal Mart doesn't sell birth control pills for $5.00 without a doctors prescription and insurance coverage and even THAT depends on the coverage. Even Plan B, two pills, costs more than that. I don't know who is feeding you that information, but it would be wise of you to check things out. Repeating someting like this only makes you look foolish.

The majority of you complaining about having to pay for someones birth control pills are simply amazing. When I was working I had health insurance which included prescription medicines. I don't have a prostate, yet my insurance covered medicines and operations and doctors visit for men and I had to pay for that through my premiums. I never had ED, frankly I never had to worry about that, yet my insurance covered that for men, both for operations AND medicines. So I figure that if my premiums covered all these things that men require, it is NOT out of line to have you pay, through your premiums, for birth control for women. I paid my fair share, you need to pay your fair share. And quit complaining about it.
