Breitbart.com : Commencement festivities begin at Notre Dame

Not arguing, just noticing disparity. I am thankful to all who express
opinions and listen as well. That is what I fought for. I am just
intrigued. I see people poloraizing over what kind of shoe laces or
peanut butter to buy, yet alone important stuff. Just grocery shopping
is polarizing, do not get the new mind set on all sides. Just
observing and carrying on. I live a moral and productive life, just
find the anger sad. Again, I am not on one side or the other just a
devoted mom, wife, citizen and retired vet.

Breitbart.com : Protesters arrested ahead of Obama Notre Dame trip

This country is also hitting a critical mass when it comes to us, as a
country, deciding what is right and what is wrong. It used to be
pretty cut and dried just 50 years ago, but now you have a
polarization between the \"Anything goes\" crowd and the \"Conservative\"
crowd, and it's starting to come to a head. The next few years are
going to be interesting, to say the least! ... AGREE, so much
negativity. Well put. Makes me turn off the computer, tv, and radio.

I am simply exercising my right to free speech as you are. ANd
cherishing it. I am just intrigued by the different level of turn out
for this President who has shared some views other leaders have shared
at Notre Dame, but no one protested,, fascinates me. I made no comment
on my political or personal views just that it fascinates me to see
and hear the different responses over the years. It is intriguing. I
did not say I was pro life or pro choice, as a mom and a soldier I am
pretty confident I have made reasonable and loving choices, I do not
have to align with a label. I fought for Dems. Repubs and in betweens
when I was in the Army. I am only aligned to my family and country,
not a group.. Nothing to prove here. I am a proud American.....Speak
on, it is your right, I fought for it. And I have looked a lot up just
as I did when researching previous speakers at Notre Dame. I fought
for all opinions and many lives. I continue to read, research, talk
and listen. Thanks, I enjoy all views, adds to the dialog.

I am Catholic. I just do not see the parity between past speakers,
some as or more liberal. Just commenting on the disparity. Of course
all know we have the right to speak. I do too and I find it odd that
no one spoke or acted on thoer free speech before with previous
presidents. No issue for me just intriguing.

\"When Carter came to speak, it was too touchy of a subject for him to
be bringing up\"..........And it is not a big news item now or touchy?
The current President has not spoken at ND yet. But it is touchier now
than when 4 other Democrats spoke there. i was at 2 of those
events.........It has been touchy for a long time, especially the last
ten years. Withing the past 3 months it has gone 3 fold into a new
level of touchy.

As a veteran and mom, I honor the Office of President, no matter what party.......What is the reason for the anger when none happened when Carter, Clinton, and other Democrats spoke in years past?......President Jimmy Carter spoke to Notre Dame grads in 1977, soon after taking office. ...Bill Clinton and both Bushes have spoken and no protests from any side occurred. What is the reason for the anger with just President Obama and not when the others spoke?

President Jimmy Carter spoke to Notre Dame grads in 1977, soon after taking office. He was more liberal yet no protests......Bill Clinton also spoke, no protests........The university’s commencement reunited President Ronald Reagan with actor Pat O’Brien: The two men starred in the movie “Knute Rockne All-American.”........Bill Clinton and both Bushes have spoken to ND grads...............Why the difference in response from when Carter, Clinton and other Dems spoke?
