Birth paper. These people have the original birth paper which you need for a variety of uses. The Government need to bring in the Army or some group to at least enter the compound and deliver the renewed and or new passport.

I proposed that a workshop for ALL Parents, Principals and Teachers be held in alternative forms of discipline to help curb the situation. Check the background of the students who are indiscipline and most of those homes have a concern.

I have a similar problem in Chaguanas in a residential area. Renters blasting music daily. Called the owners of the house to be told to call police. Called Chaguanas Police Station to be told to call EMA OR if I see a car patrolling to tell them. This is horrible.. cannot find peace in my own space. This music is in a car and blasts music all the time.

People need to stop pointing fingers and begin fixing themselves. If we all do what is right this beautiful country can be revived. Start fixing your homes and children. Look into the schools and home and identify the problems and try fixing the homes. PM and all ministers can only do so much. Trinidad we need to take back out country from the criminals!

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : Where’s code of conduct for pupils? | Trinidad Express Newspaper | Letters

Ministry of Education says what educators cannot do. I think it is about time they inform the educators what they can do. Suspension is a challenge. When parents are called in for conferencing they respond by- I do not have time, I have other commitments, I do not know what to do so do whatever you want and a list of nonsense. We love following the American system, but look at the mess the American schools are in. Back to the Bible.. spare the rod and spoil the child.

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : Extra activities in school a plus, not a minus | Trinidad Express Newspaper | Letters

The Minister might have the right idea but the method is wrong, The stress teachers are under to complete the CAC is heart breaking, The paper work is over whelming, The people making these decisions should teach in a school at all levels, deal with the parents who cares and do not care of their child's progress before sitting in their offices and making policies to hand down to schools to implement.

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : THREE DIE IN CRASH | Trinidad Express Newspaper | News

As sad this is we need to learn from it... Parents be the driver to and from events... other people's children are going out with yours.. being the responsible adult, one parent can take the children to their party and another take them back home. Parents need to know their children's friends and family. Teens... don't feel embarrased by your parents taking you.. just shows they care. We need to return to the olden days. Alcohol does not kill people.. people kill people... we choose to drink.. we choose to drive and we choose to speed. Make a smart choice. I agree with the comment where a last call time needs to be etablished or else we are going to see similar deaths in the coming months.

All you need to do is follow what is being taught in school. Looking at the child's books and construct similar questions. Newspapers, wonderful source of information, is a learning tool. S.E.A. exercises in there.. if you look closely you can find grammatical errors, spelling errors etc.. study skills, interperting data and lots more at a cost of $2.00 a day... EXCELLENT teaching tool, the newspapers.

"Extra Lessons" is just a way to scare parents to part with their money. If a teacher, the child and the parent(s) do their part.. there is no need for lessons. People need to look closer at their child and person giving the lessons.. and ask yourself if there was improvement. Those classes are so overcrowded and people are "brainwashed" into believing if they go to lessons their child will do better. Look at the weaker child in the lessons... did that teacher do anything to improve the child?

Why didn't the parents of these new parents advised their children one ensures they have a place to live, means to provide before they begin thinking to prepare for a family. Where are the values? IF the State give these new unmarried, living separate parents everything, what are they teaching them? What is the State teaching the youths? What is the State teaching all of us? IS it being taught, it is okay to have children and just ask the State becauce they will provide? If this is the lesson being taught we really are in a State of Emergency!!!

My questions: 1) Why are you both living by your parents if you want to start a family? 2) As a teacher, what example are you setting to your charges to be living by YOUR parents, having unprotected sex, using fertility pills and having children out of wedlock? Definitely not a role model! 3) Was this preplanned to have the state take your responsibility in attending to your children? 4) What are these new parents family view of this new development?` 5) What have these new parents done to help themselves prepare for these children since they first found out many months ago about the six children coming?

It is sad to know that a child can be verbally abusive to a teacher in the most horrible way and the parents cannot find the time to come in to the school to deal with the problem. When they do come in the parents tell the authorities in the school they are fed up with the child and not bothering. Other comment was ah just waiting for him to get big and leave...ah buying time... Citizen these are the future... Minister says call Student Support Services (SSS) and SSS either does not answer or says they have no personnel. without the support of parents, people, we are in deep trouble.. so we are reaping the rotten fruits of lack of support.

Parents need to step up and take responsibility for their child's action. Primary school Parents tell teachers and principals they give up on their children and they cannot handle their son/daughter. Schools have no support.. Student Support Services has no personnel to send the schools. It is nice to want First World education but we need First World Infrastructure and systems to be put in place.
