Israel made two mistakes. The first was agreeing to release these murderous thugs, how anyone can call these animals who murder civilians freedom fighters is beyond me. The second mistake was to announce the housing starts (expansion due to natural population growth is not 'settlement'). Although there is no doubt in my mind that Israel is completely in their right to build when and where they choose, this announcement will give the Palestinians the perfect excuse they need for when they inevitably abandon peace talks. So the net effect in the end is a win win for the Palestinians, a great PR win as well as a huge morale and tactical win for the Palestinians due to the freed terrorists. And all that Israel will get out of this exercise is a group of seasoned terrorists freed to kill another day along with the blame and bad PR for the failed talks.

You would have more credence if you renounced the terrorists that run Gaza and deliberately target Israeli civilians with their rockets and missiles. Nor does it help your case that you think "vigil" is a verb, you can't vigil anything.

It amazes me how otherwise intelligent people are prepared to suspend all rationality in their efforts to convince themselves or others as to the evil that is Israel. Firstly, doing a google search, not only was I unable to find any mainstream media reports to support the allegations against Hiss, but each blog or report I found is more sensationalistic regarding his exploits than the next. It seems to me that every anti-Zionist blogger in the world is working overtime trying to justify Bostrom's fabrication retrospectively. Secondly, in the unlikely event that there is some truth to the Hiss story, one criminal does not make a country. You glibly state that Israeli government has confirmed that Hiss sold organs from cadavers, perhaps you would care to provide a link to back that up.

WasHal, I do get your point, you are saying that the Swedish government was correct to protest the priniting of the cartoons because it insulted Islam, but an allegation not proven to be true is ok because it only insults Jews and Israel. In other words freedom of speech should be suppressed when it is the truth about Islam, but anyone can make up any lies they like about Jews and no one should complain.

Well seems that you know better than Donald Bostrom who actually wrote the story in the first place as he admits that he has no idea if the story is true or not. It seems that you anti-Israel wackos will believe anything negative about Israel suspending all logic in the process. Any first year medical student can tell you that the organs of a deceased person are of no use whatsoever.

What I find offensive is the hypocrisy and double standards displayed by the Swedish government; wasn't this the same government that condemned the publication of the Muhammad cartoons and shut down a web site for publishing them on the grounds that the cartoons are offensive - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4700414.stm It seems to me that the Swedish government has a very selective view of what freedom of speech is.
