It weighs about an ounce more than the iPhone, which doesn't sound like much, however, it is noticeable. Still, I like having slider keyboard, the large display and metal/glass construction. BTW Al - it's a Motorola phone! HTC makes some nice Android phones too (Hero on Sprint, Eris on Verizon). Fast, knowledgeable and friendly. What a refreshing change! Yes Gmail syncing was a breeze. Another bonus of working in the "cloud." I can confirm that Gmail does work on both Verizon or wifi connection. The virtual keyboard are good. I really like the on the fly auto-correction. Agree on physical keyboard, I'm still getting used to it. If I can't part of me thinks that I'd be better off with Eris... not sure though.
