You are correct, the Spendocrats will spin the tail to make it sound good so they can sell it to the public and then just do what they want to. The thing we can do is in November when they are up for reelection, we can show them what we think of their policies and vote them out and get someone in that know what they are doing and won't tax us to death
Just ask Chester and the spendocrats how they can be in this situation when the state is making more money than in the past but due spending they are runnning just a little short. They just tell you revenue is less than predicted but don't tell how much more they are making compared to last years. Get back to the basics and we wouldn't be in this predicament.
They claim it will be used to lower property taxes. If you believe that then I have some land next to billyboy to sell you also. You will never see your property taxes go down. The spendocrats will get the money and find something to spend it on.
Good luck with that. I don't think there wil be many spendocrats getting elected in the near future after what they have been doing lately.

Chaulk one up for the spendocrats. They just do things like this so they it actually looks like they are doing something instead of spending all our money and trying to figure out ways to tax us and take our money
46,664/9months =5148.88/month. if they worked 12 months it would be 62,618.66, I think that is above average. If I made that I think I could afford $600 for insurance.
But they only work 9 months a year and get more benefits than the average person. The $20,000 is probably because they average in the private school teachers. The public school teachers are not under paid by any means and if you took their average it would probably be $20,000 over the average for Iowa wages.
