The problem with the translation of the Hilali-Khan book is that they used verses in the Quran and added extra word such as Jews and Christian purposely so that Muslim do not get confused with other religion.
Yes we do compare between other religion teachings but not to the point of inserting between the lines to make it so clear until it gives the wrong information to the reader.
I believe Christian (which I am) writing do not use the scripture and insert the word muslim or Prophet Mohamad as an example in our weekend readings such as Herald or sunday bulletin to compare the difference.
And for your information, the Hilali-Khan book has been distributed to haj pilgrims and also translated to Bahasa Malaysia which is widely available. No wonder we have so much problem with the Allah issue.
