2News - Boise, ID : Meridian woman takes on Meineke over oil filter | KBCI CBS 2 - News, Weather and Sports - Boise, ID

I took my 2004 Nissan Titan in for an oil change as well and noticed within a few days that my truck was leaking oil. I went back to the Meineke on Overland that did the oil change and asked them to look at it. They put blame on a defective oil filter and changed it. Within a few more days the new filter began to leak as well. I have since had my oil changed at a different lube shop and asked them to look closely at the problem. They advised me something was done during that oil change that created some damage. They was unable to pinpoint where the damage was because my whole engine around that area was covered in oil. To this day it is still leaking large puddles of oil overnight. I know Meineke did a poor job with my vehicle because the missed the simplest thing like filling by windshield wiper fluid. I had to but a whole gallon in within 2 days of my $45 oil change. I am sure Meineke will tell me to flake off just the same. I just hope someday they will get what they deserve. I plan to get my truck to a shop and have it looked at ASAP and hope my repair is not outrageous.
