Anyone else wonder why the story says Thursday in the first paragraph and Friday in the second?

GazetteOnline.com : Longtime Iowa news broadcaster Shelley dies at 98

Rest In Peace, Mr. Shelley. If you folks ever get a chance to find it, there was a great book entitled "Jack Shelley and the News", the book included a CD with copies of recordings of some of Mr. Shelley's most famous interviews, such as his coverage of the surrender of the Japanese on the USS Missouri. They just don't make reporters like Mr Shelley anymore.

I wish they could put about 10 hungry rats in the cell with this animal rights activist for his entire 6-month sentence.

People giving Barbrady's "comment" thumbs down? It is nothing but a quote of Obama with no commentary. Don't you like then-Senator Obama's words being replayed?

The words "Safety Edge" seem to appear 4 times in this short article. But the caption calls it "Straight Edge".

GazetteOnline.com : Loss of soccer field to baseball leads to complaint

“I don’t care if you’re purple,” Sina said. Great public servant there, Julie Sina. If this was to happen, it would not have hurt to (very publicly) share plans for new soccer fields in the greenspace area in flood areas, and explain why soccer fields will be better suited to that site, freeing up Jones Park for a cluster of baseball fields. It makes sense that soccer fields, with less permanent components (such as backstops and expensive infields) can survive occasional flooding. What did the city think was going to happen when they tore up fields use by families for decades without explaining what was happening? Just keeping people better informed would have helped.
