We all unite under one banner. Operate at a grassroots level to achieve our goals. That is the best place to start. Look at other parties or, form our own. Tune out the campaign "noise" of incumbents during the upcoming election season. Ignore mean and meaningless campaign ads and look solely at the records of those who are running / support those who aren't afraid to stand behind the 9 principles and 12 values.

Missouri_Bob, I wouldn't worry because Heller v. The District of Columbia would render that law unconstitutional. I haven't read all of it but, the things you listed were tried by the City Council, here in D.C. and they had to backtrack because putting unreasonable constraints on handgun ownership and handgun possession, for the purpose of self-defense won't pass constitutional muster... Of course, I could be wrong.

I just visited your site and signed your guest book. I read your mission statement and it could not have been put any better. For my part, I am now and have been, for quite some time, teaching my children (one is grown the other is in high school) and my niece and nephew about the constitution, U.S. history, etc.

That is a great idea. I know that Bill O' Reilly has Glenn on quite a bit. Also, Glenn's ratings are skyrocketing. I'm pretty sure that if we send emails and letters to conservatives and those moderates who are more concerned with preserving our Union, this thing will really catch fire. Also, don't be surprised to see it really taking hold at the beginning of next year. It is an election year and those who are in power are going to begin playing to their bases... even those RINOs who voted for Obama's stimulus bill.

Great thinking Phil. As a matter of fact, that is exactly how the Republican Party was started. There was a group of people who were quite disaffected with the politics of the day and so, they created a brand new party. What's amazing is that there was no TV or internet or even telephone during that time. Yet, many Americans came together and changed things. We have no excuse not to do it.

Today, there was a news report here, in Washington, D.C. that there are only four detectives to investigate missing child reports. To make matters worse, there were thousands of reports found on an office floor. This is an outrage! I am tempted to say really nasty things about the District Government; however, this issue is so typical of their behavior. Child and Family Services is also an inept agency. I deeply believe that because D.C. can't manage its most basic responsibilities, it DOES NOT deserve a vote in Congress.

For anyone who is interested and can afford it, The Easton Press offers various series of books about the founding of our country and its presidents, as well as the classics, etc. I currently subscribe to the 100 Greatest Books ever written and, I am giving strong consideration to also subscribing to Books that Changed the World. The first edition is Common Sense by Thomas Paine. The books range from $40 to $70, although a few books cost more. The books are beautiful and are of very high quality. I recommend looking into it. I also walk among us. And do you know what? The truth is that a good many of us vote a certain way without knowing why. A good many of us are democrats because it is the party of black people. A good many people don't even know that it was the infant republican party in the late 1850's that supported abolishing slavery. And, a good many people DO NOT know that many of the progressive thinkers and abolitionists actually saw blacks as inferior. I know because I asked. I have been a republican since I was 10 years old, when my father, who was a union member, and the greatest example I had of what it means to be an American, vehemently supported re-electing Jimmy Carter! As a black woman, I am so sick and tired of hearing racism brought into every argument that involves criticizing black officials who do wrong. Whatever happened to knowing the whole story and holding everyone EQUALLY accountable?
