Oh no I hope the forecast is wrong and it doesn't rain too much!
I like the Musée de la Civilisation and the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec but unfortunately this one is closed until the 24th.
Unless it's really pouring non stop I would still check out Petit Champlain neighbourhood, it's so pretty and there are many shops and art galleries and pubs where you could take breaks from the weather.
Have lunch in a fancy old house/tea room at Panache du Parc? It's in a nice park so it's even better if the weather is nice, but I imagine it would still be enjoyable (and delicious) if it rains.
Other than that I guess you're gonna have to eat a lot of poutine?
Are you there on the 23rd-24th? June 24th is our national holiday, there is all sorts of celebrating on the night of the 23rd (huge show on the Plaines d'Abraham) and on the 24th. It's... something!

I got a cheap waterproof bluetooth speaker that I use to play music in the shower and it's the best! It's not helping my water use though, and my neighbors might hate me because I always play the 4 same songs on repeat, but still, would recommend.

I like to knit/crochet while watching sports, and listen to podcasts when I'm hiking and don't want to think.

Let me join the Nicole Cliffe appreciation chorus! Thank you for the CanCon, your excellent opinions on books and tv, the white man book list obvi, your a+ internet curating, your whole archive really (here and elsewhere - i loved the classic trash column), you are a treasure.

I make a version of this with crumbled feta cheese and fresh mint added to the mix and it's really good!

I love lithops! weird little pebble/butt plants.
I can't have pets in my apartment so I'm leaning in with the houseplants. I have big southwest facing windows also, so the light is great.
In the impossible to kill category : snake plants, a couple zebra cactuses (cactii?), a pothos, a jade plant.
In the might die if forgotten for too long category : a bunch of ferns, a peace lily, an asparagus fern, a croton, a dracena, a begonia, an unidentified climbing plant.
I also have a moth orchid that my mom gave me but only her magic touch can induce it to flower (it was in flower when she gave it to me, then bloomed again when I left it with her to go on vacation... how?!)
I'll also start the herb garden on the balcony soon!
Yay plants!

This is me but with Spanish, last fall I spent some time in South America, many times I got confident and started thinking I was getting the hang of this language, only to get crushed when I went out to buy something and the cashier asked me a question that I did not get at all.

I went back to the first recap, and found this explanation : "Occasionally, as a way to convey emotion that cannot be put into words, I will interject photos of my little sister from a years-old professional photo shoot gone very wrong." A+++ well done

Comfort reading : Mystery/detective novels. Agatha Christie, Henning Mankell, Harlan Coben, I'm not picky, I will read it all. I find it relaxing for some reason (?)
Comfort foods : grilled cheese sandwich, chips/french fries, ramen noodles. I also have emergency cookies in the freezer, because freshly baked cookies are 1000% more comforting.
