2. Enforce immigration laws and protect the border. I have compassion for any immigrant wanting a better life but they must play by the rules as did immigrants in the past. Otherwise there will be not much America can offer in the future. There HAS to be a constructive discussion as opposed to pulling everyone's heartstrings.

4. Brush up on tax terminology. Tax credits ARE NOT tax cuts so any attempt to equate the two insults the intelligence of folks who know what you are up to.

6. Remove the pork and vote on it in separate bills. I will agree some projects may be necessary but one has to admit that to slip in this type of spending has been grossly misused. I want to see elected officials take responsibility for their pet projects and present a convincing argument that they are necessary.

Last but not least:

TERM LIMITS

The problem I have is that they are pulling the strings for programs which they have no vested interest in (ie health care, Social Security). All they care about is playing on our emotions to get votes.

They are failing yet get to vote themselves raises. It's eerily similar to what we hear about business executives these days.

And another thing: ever notice how they become multimillionaires after several terms in office? No wonder we can't get them to accept term limits! I am contemplating a voting philosophy whereby I will always vote out the incumbent no matter whether I like them or not ( or should I say no matter which one I dislike more!) Would it catch on?
