The Wild Hunt : Esoteric Publishers, Crowley, and the 'New Right'

Crowley would be laughing his head off. After all, perish the thought of a publisher not mouthing the lastest PC shibboleths. Hmm, maybe I should write something and get them to publish it. I could use another bad guy medal.

Well, that while she was a dreadful writer and a lot of the logic had holes you can drive a truck through, she had the misfortune to be right far more often than she was wrong. Of course the same could also be said of Anton LaVey.

Look at it this way, in 1888 an American Protestant Missionary named Doane was detained in the Phillipines. The US sent a battleship and marines to look into the matter,to the great terror of the Spanish government who could not release the Rev. Mr. Doane fast enough. Now, does anyone think that the marines will be airdropped onto Nepal for the sake of the missionaries? (Of course when the Scientologists take over I would not want to be anywhere near a country that would detain one of their missionaries...)

The Wild Hunt : Pagan Community Notes: A Christian Makes Amends, Paganistan, WEL, and more!

These things always remind of back in 1983 when there was some nut on Xtian television babbling about how terrible the new age was and spending a lot of hot air linking the Theosophical Society to it. Well, I made my weekly visit to the Olcott Library and told my friend at the reception desk to expect strange and bizarre visitations. Well, the next week I came in and was greeted with, "Come to see the Devil Worshippers?" And much laughter because we were pretty much used to it what with Wheaton College being two miles down the road. So, jokingly, I said, that if they came in to just tell them that the Antichrist was reading in the library, and then I found a ancient book and sat down. Well, after a little while I looked up to find myself surrounded by a group of very neat young folks and one of them asked, without humor, "Are you really the Antichrist?" I laughed and said, "No, I'm the False Prophet, but the folks here don't know their Bible very well." And at that point the joke dawned on them and they realized how stupid they had managed to make themselves look.

The Wild Hunt : Quick Notes: Michele Bachmann, Eilish De'Avalon, and a Catholic Fertility Ritual

None of this matters. What will matter is what is the price of gasoline a year from now because that is the only thing the voters are going to give a damn about. Right now, Obama is well under 50% approval in the Gallup poll and no president has gone into an election with less than 50% in that poll and been re-elected. So, if Obama's numbers stay the way they are, the Republicans could run a Kramer/Sprenger ticket and win. It's going to be about the economy, it always is about the economy. Nothing else matters.

and he hasn't been turned into a toad yet! Amazing. I remember one time back during the Satanic Panic talking to a friend of mine in law enforcement about the whole mess and I told him that if a prosecutor felt safe in bringing a case, he obviously was not dealing with the real thing, because the real Satanists would simply kill him.
