I want to cry , because I feel it is my generations fault that you have the same fear that your parents have. It is not your fault---it is ours. If you were my son/daughter, I would express my sorrow for having to tell you that " I " caused this to happen. The" writing on the wall" has been there for awhile, "I" ignored it because "I" was too busy spending money "I" did`nt have. My gov`t was doing the same so, "I" thought it was OK for" me"to do it too. What it boils down to is---"we" did not demand accountability from those we elected. "WE" let them do what "they" wanted to do because "we" wanted to do the same. WE are learning a very hard lesson ourselves that WE do not want to pass onto our children and grandchildren.
