Come on, folks!! Get real. The Democrats in Congress are addicted to spending as much money as they can gather. They feel the power from it, and it buys a lot of votes. You want spending cuts and a balanced budget? Get some backbone, get some common sense, go the polls and vote the big spending, tax raising . money grubbing Dems out of office. Practically alone, Pelosi and Hoyer and those of their ilk are harmless.
Obama shows up at the meeting with BP and has in tow Eric Holder, who has already threatened BP with civil and criminal lawsuits, and an additional three Justice Department lawyers. As "The Snake" James Carville laughingly said, "Obama made BP an offer they couldn't refuse", quoting a line from "The Godfather". I call that a shakedown. If you have another word for it, let's hear it. But make it something more than idiocy, please.
This Socialist/Communist is not through yet, folks. He, like his mentors, the reverend Jerimiah and Alainsky and Rezko et al hate this country, blame it for all the faults of the world, and will not rest until they make America a second-rate nation despised by the world. But if those who voted for him are looking for someone to blame, look in the mirror. You bought the garbage from his mouth that made intelligent people want to vomit. Elections have consequences. Remember that from now on.
Term limits for all is the answer, folks. Without a Congress filled with career politicians willing to do or say anything to get re-elected, a know-nothing, done-nothing like Obama could never pull this off. The politicians are not about to term-limit themselves, so we must do it for them. Since the Constitution term-limits the President, it is constitutional to term limit others. Work for it!!! It is the way to reclaim our country from a few hundred scoundrels.
Wanna bet Obama says NO? He needs all the illegals he can get to fraudulently vote Democrat. Plus, he won't get the message for several days because he'll either be (taking a freebie junket on his nice airplane, or (2) playing basketball, of (3) playing golf, or (4) busy figuring out how to get wagyu beef at $100 a pound and lobsters for daily consumption by him and his banjo butt wife.
Just another good reason to say "Hell No!!" when California comes begging for a federal bailout. And they will. They surely will.
An interesting revelation to me because I just read last night of how James Madison lost so much money serving his country, due to neglect of his farm, that he was almost bankrupt when he left the White House.
Same thing happened to George Washington and other early Presidents. How is our "statesmen" today all get rich "serving their country"?
If the folks in the White House are puzzled about this obvious snub, then they haven't learned a thing about protacol since sleighting the English Queen, and are dumber than a tree stump. Obama needs a better grade of flunkies to cover for his lack of expertise. How can any thinking person still be happy they voted for this dork?
"Pluses outweigh the minuses"?? Pluses for who? Let's talk about those of us who are strapped financially now, but will have to contribute through higer taxes and fees to insure those who are already getting health care in thousands of emergency rooms across the nation. There are no pluses when you look at the total legislation. Only a fool would buy into this scheme. Taxes and fees will go up. Insurance premiums will go up. Prices of manufactured goods will go up. People will lose their jobs. Congress passed a 2700 page bill without having any idea what all was in it. It was written a piece here, a piece there, a piece from who knows where, then slapped together for a vote. The people were screaming in vast majorities not to pass this bill. The White House and Democrats in Congress refused to listen. Let's make them hear us in November. Vote all who voted "yes" on this legislation out of office, then turn your eyes on those Senators up for re-election in 2012. They gave us crap. We give them hell and a ticket home!!
I used to think this man was just an egotistical elitists who figured himself smarter than everyone else. I blew off all the talk of an anointed one, a messiah. Now it is obvious he is a delusional, crazy man who sees himself as dictator who no one is allowed to question or disagree with. He will bring this country down to Third World status if he can. There will be violence and civil strife in our country before he leaves office. What a disaster we have fomented on ourselves!! Regretfully I, an educated man, am starting to think he really is a Muslim example of the Manchurian Candidate, or maybe even the Anti-Christ prophesied in the protestant Bible. He certainly is more than just scary.
