You people act as if digging construction is an exact science. They do have the gas main plans before they dig BUT plans are not always right or things have settled or shifted a foot or two over the many years. Besides the report says the valve head came off so that could be malfunction or human error.
I smelled gas all the way out to the Ethanol plant - wind must be blowing some of it that direction too. I got off the bypass at Mayflower and there was a very strong cloud of gas I went through so that leak is obviously massive and blowing all over.

I am guessing if you stake out the neighborhood Saturday night and watch for stray teens running around from 10pm to 1am I am guessing you might catch your culprits. Teens doing this are creatures of habit. They are still around and I bet they are not driving yet.
Yellow jackets are as aggressive as wasps so I do not find that hard to believe.
I looked it up. 60mph leaves about a 160 foot skid mark on asphalt so either the measurement of 350 feet is wrong or they guy broke his speedometer in the car from going so fast. Iam guessing a combination of the two.
I travel that road often anf there is always tons of truck traffic pulling out for those businesses. The speed limit is 45 so I am guessing the car was speeding. There is not many curves in that area so unless you are going 80 you can easily see to stop/slow for the trucks. 350 skid mark is quite the long skid for doing just 45mph PLUS the car still is crushed. Still hope know one seriously hurt tho. I also know people fly down that stretch of 23 too.
You act as if there is no freedom of choice in life. Are we robots? Alcohol causes disease, it is NOT a disease. I did suffer from drug addiction and EYE took the drugs and then EYE made the choice to quit the drugs. The drugs might have/will cause disease in my body BUT it was my choice – at the time. People on this bbs harp about accountability but then excuse it.
