As a goverment worker at the county level I am appalled at the amount of secrecy that goes on. Especially within the taxing and election departments. This should be open to the public and common knowledge. But I am told what I can tell the public and what I can not tell them. This disturbs me as an American citizen. What also disturbs me is the amount of corruption at the County level and it is allowed by State officials with no retribution since it has gone on for so long. I realize that I would have to prove this, and I would in a minute if someone would listen. I am ready to help the public have access to the election process and the taxation process. But the government has made both so complicated so no one but them can understand either one. I really hope that President Obama will open up this communication.
