Unfortunately though, I can easily see them being just as badly mistreated as the Wyatt Family was during their entire run as a stable. Creative had NO idea how to use the Wyatts properly just because of how unorthodox they were and Sanity fits that same exact mold.
Easily? The UK Title is incredible!
Beat her for nothing? Huh??? Where's your logic in that? Ruptured implant or not, Charlotte is still one of the top women's workers in the WWE. Ending Asuka's streak still helps elevate her status. And she's only missing a couple weeks at the most! It's not like she's taking nine months off for a major surgery. And be honest--if a cash-in by Carmella was in the plans by WWE officials all during the build-up to Wrestlemania, would you have rather had Charlotte retain and have Carmella cash in on her or have had Asuka defeat Charlotte for the title only to have Asuka turn around and lose it immediately to a cheap MITB cash in?
If Charlotte were only a part timer or retiring, THAT would be cause to say it was all for nothing.
No choice? You're delusional. Fans have had the same negative reaction towards Roman for almost five years now. Hell, the Philadelphia crowd damn near burned the building down during the 2015 Royal Rumble because of Roman yet here we are years later still with Cena 2.0. If the crowd reactions for Roman over the years haven't forced Vince to change the way he books him by now then nothing will.
While I'm sure that part of it was due to fans not caring about Roman/that particular main event, it was also after 11:00 by the time this match even started. I'm sure people were tired by that point. Hell, I zoned out during Carmella/Charlotte.
Wrestlemania should never have "throwaway" matches. Disgusting.
If matches are longer, it probably has to do with the fact that the shows are much longer and they need to fill the time. Raw is three hours now instead of two. PPVs go 4-6 hours instead of three.
See, that's just stupid. I get that people break out of the cell all the time. But in theory, the whole point of the cell is supposed to be that these guys are LOCKED INSIDE this structure so that they can destroy each other with no way of escaping. Adding this stipulation completely kills off that whole idea because it guarantees that they'll be getting out at some point.
I will say this about the card--I'm really glad they didn't force a Hell in a Cell match onto the WWE Championship match just because it's the main event, but rather they used the cell for the matches that actually make sense to have it.
