In many ways Jeb, the community that is gathering, (and again I'll
mention the film I viewed last week: Bab' Aziz)...the community will
be of those who arrive through persistence at the gathering which has
no predetermined location or date. While at time the paradox of
immediacy these tools put into our hands contrasted with the pace at
which community evolves is perhaps a sign that things are moving in
the right direction. Where there is paradox, there the mystery of
life.

I've come to the realization that it's only by asking the difficult questions that we get to the heart of our dilemma. To question the status quo does not take much effort, but to question the structures our own "security" is tied into is where we need to show more courage as a culture.

Your sense that the system will strip away the creative potential is
valid. It's strange how embedded the puritanical sense of utility
shapes the system, whereas the pragmatic posture of usefulness widens
out (while building upon the same base no doubt), into a recognition
that meaninfulness, not productivity, is the bottom line issue...

You live a countercultural reality which I believe is the dawn of the
culture to come. Riding our interest through time and space...so
whaty kind of economic system could bring that posture to the masses?

...Exactly, a similarity of pattern, if not details, or details if not
pattern. The recognitions can fire in a multitude of ways. To you
insightful sense of centering, I'll add another complementary idea,
and that is one of finding the out circumference. Where it really get
"peculiar" is when these to opposing realities seem to be taking place
simultaneously...
