yup, I've been using it for about 2years without issues. We are a Dell house, so it may not work as well on other brands.

combofix should only be run by someone with experience with it, you can break your windows install if you dont know what you are doing.

vista has this built-in. just select all the files, then right click and hit rename. type the name for the files and put the number you want it to increment by in parenthesis. eg. "crash log (511).txt" and it will increment up by one number for each file.

now, i assume that i places the deleted files on the workstation, not the server. Now just have to remember to remove rights to empty the bin for the average user. Otherwise they will empty the bin, just so the icon looks empty. Don't ya love users :)

Not sure what your issue was, but if it was getting a bad part replaced Dell offers certification on their hardware. Then you can order the part yourself. :D

FYI, it seems that SP3 fixes this issue, I have not been able to replicate it on three seperate xp sp3 machines.

jeeze, ya learn something new everyday. I've been using SnagIt for about a year now, but I guess I'll have to give this one a try. SnagIt has some extra features (like the ability to insert arrows and such) but I see this working for 95% of users.
