It's a great shame that our political elites have to deal in lies and fiction instead of truth and reality. If only they would tell Hamas to go and get stuffed. Not being familiar with American political procedures, I would like to know how the present Commission has come together. Are these elected officials - if so can they be voted out to ensure the same thing doesn't happen again - or are their appointments in the gift of someone else? Either way it would seem to call for some concerted local pressure group to get out there and be active - the alternative would be to have the Mohammedans walk all over you in future planning meetings.

Hugh, would you know whether the final few words in his speech were delivered in Farsi or Arabic? I'd assume Farsi, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was in Arabic given the history of faux pas in his past speeches. In which case the whole of the subtle subtext to which you refer would have been rendered null and void.

You’re quite right, having read through what I posted, I should have emphasised that all non-Muslims should be educated to the reality of Islam as a misogynistic, totalitarian political ideology, rather than trying to compel Muslims to view it as such. Well, call me old Mr. Cynical, but I don't see Obambi's visit to Turkey as likely to build any bridges. I suspect they will just view his appeasing attitude as weakness. What we really need is an American leader who will stand up against the Muslim world and draw a line in the sand. Why not campaign for Islam to be re-classified as a totalitarian political ideology rather than a religion. If this became an accepted truth throughout the world, it would be far easier to deal with the problems that Muslims cause in the name of Islam. It's no longer good enough for Muslims to advance their absurd, indefensible positions on the grounds of religion. It has been estimated that over 270 million people have been killed by Muslims acting in the name of Islam over the past 1400 years - thus placing Islam in pole position at the head of a list of totalitarian ideologies that include Communism, Fascism and National Socialism (Nazism). So let's compel Muslims to view their belief system for what it is - a misogynistic, totalitarian political ideology, rather than what they would like everyone else to believe it is - a religion of peace.
