I said it was implicit by his comments. The fact that he also said you could be living under a UI would be further confirmation that he automatically assumes the vast majority of Catholics would be in favour of a UI.

You took a data set and then selectively re-created sections on BT forum. By the presentation of selective data it was implicit that Catholic majority in certain age groups equates to a vote in favour of a UI. You then confirmed this in your above mentioned statement.

Really? Explain this quote of yours from less than an hour ago 'I said that our future, including your future, is either in a Catholic dominated Northern Ireland or a UI'. All this is based on a limited grasp of statistics.

There is one serious flaw In your statistics. Your assumption is that all Catholics would vote for a UI and their Protestant counterparts would vote to retain the union.

Here's a suggestion. Why don't DUP and SF sign a pre-construction agreement to affirm that no terrorist shrines or parades/gatherings glorifying terrorism will be held on the site. Any deviation from this will result in H blocks being razed to the ground.

Fergie recognised last year that he had a mediocre team. Their performances in Champions league only confirmed this mediocrity. He also recognised the decline in some of his more senior players and realised that he would need a massive cash injection to buy replacements. Under the circumstances a good time to jump.

Certainly. We do not have a UK football competing in UEFA or FIFA competitions so your question is irrelevant. One final point worth pondering. The anthem played at Commonwealth Games is officially registered as Londonderry Air.

Considering you used the word in a statement and then tried to defend the statement by emphasising the word it is appropriate that we define the word. I will stick to referencing the Oxford English dictionary although you probably have an aversion to it.

I said the anthems of Scotland and Wales are subservient to the national anthem of UK of GB and NI. I don't recall mentioning the football teams of Scotland and Ireland. If you have been reading comments over recent years you will find many posters on this forum have stated that they would still not support NI team even if the playing of the national anthem and flying of the national flag were dropped. The issue of flags or anthems therefore has no relevance to their decision.

You watch Ulster matches on TV. You watch GAA matches on TV. So you don't actually go out and all your knowledge on subjects is gleaned from a piece of glass in the corner of your room. I ATTEND NI matches. There are many fans carrying NI flags. Many wear team shirts. Some paint their faces in team colours others wear wigs. All of them are NI supporters yet comfortable with GSTQ and the Union flag. The reason being GSTQ is the national anthem of the UK of which NI is a part. When you are watching these GAA games on TV can you say what flag is flown from above the stands?

I have no problem answering your question. It is wrong to shout 'no surrender' during GSTQ. However, unlike you, I do not believe this should be reason for dropping our (yes our - your and mine) national anthem before international games. Do you really think that playing of the national anthem before a game and flying the national flag is 'British orientated'? Most countries do this. Does this comment apply to their supporters? I shudder to think what your views would be of those patriotic Americans.

While not written into the constitution GSTQ is recognised as the official national anthem of UK of GB and NI. Scotland and Wales have their own anthems (not national and not official) but these will be subservient to GSTQ.

You answered one part but conveniently ignored the second part, i.e. when was the IRA formed. If you struggle with this I will give you a clue. The year begins with a 1 and ends with a 9 and preceded the formation of the UDR. Since you are fond of statistics would you care to tell us how many Catholic civilians the IRA killed.

Again someone who has been suckling too long on the teat of republican propaganda spews out inaccuracies. Research history of the PIRA plus formation of UDR and then tell us which came first. Also tell us what role each played in IRA atrocities over the years. Let's take Abercorn or La-Mon as 2 examples for your reply to this one.

99% correct. A country can have only one national anthem but many anthems. The national anthem of both Wales and Scotland is GSTQ. Both have adopted anthems over the years (at one point Scotland had 'Scotland the Brave'). I do believe some on this forum are suggesting NI follow their lead by adopting an anthem although, for some strange reason they keep referring to a national anthem. NI national anthem is also GSTQ.
