My family went through this same thing. The Bellevue police were no help and actually suggested we leave my daughter where she was because she would probably just run away again. Our home is a loving home - nothing going on strange or weird. We are not druggies or screwed up people, just normal and hard working. We had the police at her boyfriends house and they lied and said they did not know where she was. We did get her back home for a while and her boyfriends mom came and kidnapper her, the Sheriff did nothing, told us that she was 16 and could do whatever she wanted. This piece of sh** woman was culpable in the whole mess and the police let her get away with it - how is that okay and legal? I had her in juvenile court - what a waste of time that was. The worst part was when I listed her as a missing person and was asked to obtain her dental records so they could identify her body if found dead. All of you people out there pointing fingers and immediately thinking that the problems with kids is the parents issues need to go sr**w yourselves. Live through the 5 years of hell I did and then tell me what you think about it. Given the price of materials in this economy, I am sure that the profit is not as high as you would think. Also, keep in mind the numerous people that are being employed in this state due to the ferries being built locally. Go Figure.
