What a great debater you are. I understand plenty about bullfighting - I don't care at all if it's their "culture" - slavery used to be part of some "cultures". Bullfighting is torturing and tormenting an animal in public for entertainment before killing it. That's it. It has no place in this day and age. And the people who go to bullfights and laugh and cheer are seriously sick. God did not put animals on this earth for us to abuse. We use them for a lot of things - food, companionship, labor - and we need to treat them humanely in return. In America, we slaughter cows as humanely as we can by driving a bolt into their brain and instantly rendering them unconscious. We do this because we have laws that require animals to be rendered unconscious before they are slaughtered. And in bullfighting, the purpose of the fight is to torture the bull before it is killed. That is why they have picadors in the ring to enrage the bull and drive a series of lances into its shoulder to create pain, misery and weak shoulder muscles. The bull is in agony and bleeding profusely. They drive a series of these lances into the creature. Otherwise, a bull may just stand there and not fight. Anyone who thinks this is okay is sick. They applaud and cheer while this animal is being tortured "ceremonially" before is it killed. I don't care what Spain's backward "cultures and customs" are - they should get rid of it in this day and age. Slavery used to be a "custom", too. Spain is a sick nation.
