I lost my sons last voice mail also. It was deleted by accident and I would listen to it to give me comfort that he had been he had been here. Verizon told me they could retrieve it after talking to numerous people for over a week and then told it could not. His voice mails was gone and I said just like my son. In this day and age with everything they do to listening to other people and cutting into computers, etc. I can not believe that they can not retrieve it.

Not all people know how to do that. I was one of them. And to not have my sons voice is an emptiness that no one can know unless you go thru it.:(

I had a similar incident happen to me. My son passed away last September from cancer and I had one voice mail that he had done a week before. I would play it to hear his voice. One day it got cancelled by accident. I immediately called Verizon and ended up talking to a lot of people and was told it would take 72 hours to retrieve. I called back later and was told it could not be done. I was led around. I can not believe in this day and age of what they do listening to people, retrieving messages, etc. that they could not retrieve it. It took over a week of being led to believe they could and then not. I am heartbroken. They said it is gone and I said yes just like my son. I needed his voice.
