well i cant set up as new because i need to hacktivate it which blackra1n rc3 can do. and yes i am fully restored to 3.1.2 my phone has nothing on it
now when i do blackra1n it click make it rain. and it puts my phone in recovery but the geohot face never pops up it just stays with the recovery logo and after that it doesnt boot up. i am on a 3g so i do not need a tethered jailbreak
so yesterday i updated my phone to 3.1.2 because it was being slow and i was beginning to have battery issues so i figured i will update and use blackra1n. so i restored to 3.1.2 and now when i start blackrain geohot does not show up it just stays at the recovery logo and then when it says blackrain is done my phone screen just goes blank with a lit up screen and when i open itunes it says it is still in recovery mode. what can i do to fix it?! i have restored many times with different ipsw's and downloaded new copied of blackra1n
so i want to update my phone to 3.1.2 and blackra1n and blacksn0w it. i was gonna post this somewhere else but thiss will do. now i have an iphone 3g on the old bootrom an 3.0 fw. if i use blackra1n will my phone be a tethered jaibreak? and also are there any issues with blacksn0w?
one more problem. i have a lot of music from other computers on my phone through "manually Manage" is there a way i can sync all that music onto my primary computer before i restore so i dont lose everything?
your problem is that you can only use a custom firmware when starting at 3.0 with an already jailbroken phone. and then you create you custom firmware and you update from a jailbroken 3.0 to a jailbroken 3.1(.2) its too late now you will need to wait for an OOTB jailbreak
quick question
the blog says to shift-restore to the custom ipsw but could we shift-update instead because i dont want to lose all my contacts. and if not is there a way to back up my contacts without syncing with outlook?
i am having a problem with my jailbroken and unlocked 3g. i update some packages in cydia and then it crashed and took forever to power on. then none of my apps would open so i fixed it by re downloading 1 in the app store but now the app store wont open
what can us windows users use to create a custom frimware since pwnage tool is not for windows?
okay i know this has nothing to do with the dev team but either does half the stuff here cant you just help me out here?
