Jillian, they will be very happy! The advantage of the bed is that the heating is constant. The pad shoul be turned on and off manually.

The Daily Tail : Various brands of pet food recalled

Mary, I'm not sure. I couldn't find out who produces these labels. If you buy at Kroger's, I strongly recommend that you to check if your pet food bags are Kroger dog food or cat food, Old Yeller or Pet Pride. If you are not sure what brand is your pet food and you bought it at Kroger's, I would throw it away. I always buy the same brand of food, so I can easily know if our food brands have been recalled. But I transfer the food to sealed plastic containers as soon as I open a bag, so I would have to throw them away in case of a recall because I have no way to know the dates they were produced. Aflatoxin contamination can happen at the factory production but it can also occur while the food has been stored.

The Daily Tail : Sleeping with your pets

Ha! I hear you, Larry! We had 3 cats sleeping with us. Now we have 2, and we got another cat to make company to the one who sleeps in a separate bedroom. Crosby knocks down things from shelves and meows all night if you let him. Now he can sleep in another room with his brother, Graffiti, and he's not alone anymore. :-)
