They put all of their focus on the issues that for some reason they think they will get votes from (pot, gay marriage, war, etc.) and don't even mention fiscal issues half the time. My local Libertarian party candidate's platform actually was in favor of subsidies for wind power. He was approved by the Texas Libertarian Party. That's how I knew I'd have to vote Republican until something changes. Hopefully, the Republicans change and I don't feel half sick to my stomach the next time I vote for one. One of the selling points of the complex was "security gates" which during the year magically morphed into "privacy gates". Look at the difference in quality between the on campus dorms and jefferson. Sure, in Jefferson you get more space, but the dorms cost less when you take into account food and utilities. Do you see people breaking into the dorms with guns? Could jefferson afford to put someone at each door every night to make sure they were invited by a resident? Definitely. I wouldn't mind there not being chik-fil-a at the front office every week if it meant my rent was actually being used to keep where I live in decent condition.
