I think that if it were Paul Berger's child, he would thank the Lord that the predator did not realize that (possibly consensual) molestation of a very young woman carries a much harsher penalty than murder. Unfortunately all the other predators do now know this.

The confusion lies in the perversion of the term 'multi-culturalism'. I was a fervent multiculturalist when I believed that the word meant toleration for all cultures and the duty to give dissenting viewpoints at least a respectful hearing. However I was corrected in 'Diversity' class at my State job that it actually means just the opposite - one must not exhibit any aspect of one's culture that may offend others (and not knowing they are offensive is not a defense), and dissenting views are grounds for dismissal. The manager here clearly attended the same class.

If Mr. Pike is correct, then the Red Cross also should be defunded and prosecuted. I do not see how that would in any way benefit ACORN. Also, if Mr. Pike is correct, he certainly should be sharing with the law his reasons for suspecting the Red Cross or any other organization.

The life of the soldier was not worth the life of the British reporter. However, it may have been worth preventing negotiators 'making a deal' with the enemy - especially one that offered cash, and even worse, a deference to their 'pride'. The proper response is a shaming, not an boost to their honorability.
