I love xtranormal. I did a series about the fallacies within the different Christian plans of salvation.

I haven't read through all the comments yet, so I'm not sure if this got said, but you know American Atheists was founded by a woman, right (the famed Madeline Murray O'Hare, in fact), and her successor was a woman, and the current vice president is a woman, and there were two women on the cover of this month's magazine. Leaving the realm of AA, I subscribe to about six blogs by atheist women.

As much as I love them, Dawkins and Hitchens are not the only New Atheists in the world. Please research your next article a bit more before attempting to make an institution of reason and logic look like a bunch of religious bigots. Thank you!

Telling a 6-year old your sexual fantasies isn't really expressing free speech, it's an attempt to cause sexual stress to a minor. Likewise, yelling fire in a crowded theater isn't free speech, it is an attempt to cause havoc and mayhem. However, person of belief A telling person of belief B that he disagrees with him, even if it is done in a less than civil manner (as long as bodily harm is not threatened) is not planned cruelty, it is an opinion and a fair exchange of information.

Also, Christians absolutely do not have the right to be offended if they "really" are Christians and not hypocrites: the Bible says "Great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them." (Psalm 119:165)

I've used that many times, especially with my own family. It's a real conversation stopper.

Really? The planet needs animals, but not humans? We are animals, and our biological imperative is to breed and carry on our species. If the world is destroyed because of us, then that is the natural order of things. Why care about the future if your plan for it is not to exist to enjoy it.

If you support him, you are just as mad as he, and I believe the biological imperative in this issue would be to give him what he wishes... at least one less human on the planet.

As I said on a different blog about this cretin, this is what happens due to the fearmongering of the commercial media. This poor guy (at least he was a "poor guy" before he became a "retarded lunatic") could have lived a happy life, enjoying peace and tranquility and this beautiful planet we have... he could have done his part to help the environment, and the endangered species, and to help further our race... But no... he was driven mad with fear. I seem to recall the words of John Lennon's "Working Class Hero."

I would be offended, but be gracious about it anyway, as someone mentioned earlier, because it really is the only thing some people feel they can do in the face of such circumstances. However, it would be terrifically annoying to me, because I have been a pastor, a missionary, and an evangelist.... I know, when a Christian prays for your health, this is exactly the prayer that they say:

"Lord, please be with Christopher Hitchens, and help him in this time of need (as though God would show up and really, actually help him go through the pain, the illness, the suffering... the person praying themselves could do a better job). Heavenly father, if you see fit, please take this cancer from him (why would the God of the entire universe help one man but allow millions of children in third world countries to die of AIDS and starvation), and use this situation to help him find you (THIS is the part that would most annoy me... knowing that they think God planned my cancer so that he could bring me to himself. What a filthy, lousy, monster God must be).
