This is an issue related to the lack of consequence for getting caught. People know that lane county is not hard on crime. The cops lock em up but they know that it is not for long. I am honestly surprised that the EPD has not had more bad press events where an officer lost his/her cool over dealing with a repeat offender and done something to get themselves into trouble.
