Iain, much as I like the idea of one of the WHTID contributors creating a new banner, can ya not affords to pay someone to do it? Find a college student somwhere and I've no doubt they'd be glad of £50 for the job...

Well Tom, them Peckham Chavs have just been made an offer by Tony Fernandes, who is awaiting a response. Not sure if for partial or full control. Lets hope the latter and they are gone totally... though I suspect its too good to be true...

Tony Fernandes just announced on Twitter he has made an offer to the West Ham owners and "lets see if they accept". Doesn't say if it for full or partial control, or if he just wants to buy into the club.

It would be interesting SJ to do a straw poll to see how many fans are that bothered about going down. I lost interest in watching this pile of crap 3 months ago, it’s been 3 years of abject torture, ruining most weekends, miserated Saturday nights, Monday morning ribbings by supporters of other clubs.

I'm hopeful that WHEN (and not if) we get relegated we'll do the following:

1) Sack Grant, appoint a manager that cares and has a clue.. and has a better win ratio of more than 1 in 10 games.
2) Clear out the 15 or so miserated sods that don't want to be at West Ham anyway - then rebuild with the lads that want to be at Upton Park, on lesser wages, the likes of Noble and Collison
3) Start winning a few games...remember them times.. wouldn't it be nice, even if it was against Southampton, Brighton and Crystal Palace.
4) Have an exciting Promotion battle to contest, rather than another miserable year battling relegation
5) Scalp a few teams in the Cups.

I'm positive. I'll be back seeing decent football, scoring goals, winning games. It can't get worse, surely. And all this talk of financial armageddon is balderdash too, absolute rubbish. COYI's...

I'm worried about tomorrows game. I'm not sure I'm happy. I'm nervous and twitchy.

But unlike previous games agaisnt some of the big 4 or 5, or previous years against ManU, I'm not worried we'll get a drubbing or we'll be stuffed. I'm worried cos we have a chance.. not only of not losing the game, but actually of winning. We're in good form, ManU aren't playing great, we have a settled team, we have very few injuries of note, we have momentum on our side.

Its a place that usually comes back to bite me and us...so, yeah, I'm worried. Anybody else feel the same??

Iain, I reckon if you think you'll be too busy, then I'd recommend SJ or someone else from this site that can give quality time not just to the meetings and phone calls, but to genuinely listen and get others feedback and involvement too.

It'll be an onerous task once it starts, very time consuming if the rep does the job right...so I think it'd be best to have something with LOTS of free time to do it... either on behalf of this site, or just on behalf of the people that use this site (if you don't wish the site to be associated with the nomination).

Ideally, we could even nominaye 2 people.... one local person.. and one from overseas who has been a season ticket holder before. Ultimately, we all want whats best for West Ham, but the interests of overseas fans can be (understandably) overlooked from time to time.

Either way, lets hope it all goes well..

I'd agree Gav... they way ManU are playing, we have nothing to be fearful of. We beat the form team in the Prem 2 weeks ago in the shape of Liverpool, and not only that, we made them look average (which they are not)...

Would gladly settle for a point away to the Spuds, but if we've our first 11 on the park, I'd certainly be looking for all 3 points against ManU...

I did the BBC predictor earlier and and I have Wolves, Wigan and West Brom going down... we finish in the dizzy heights of 16th with 41 points ....!!!

But... like I said a few days ago..I'm npt bothered if we stay up or go down. Either way, it'll be a far better year than this year (and last)... and it certainly won't be armageddon if we go down...

Whether we stay up or not, I'm happy in the knowledge that next year will be far better than this (or last years shambles).

We have a really good squad now, needs minor adjustments but not radical overhaul...so if we stay up, get a new manager, we'll surely be a hell of a lot better off next year than this.

If we go down, so be it. It won't be armageddon. We'll receive parachute payments for 2 years. We'll get 20-30MM in player sales. We'll have a new manager. We'll still have a first team more than good enough to get us back up again.

Either way, we'll have a new manager (won't we??), we'll have Dyer off the wage bill (4MM a year saved), we'll have a good squad for whatever league we're in... and we'll return to winning more than one in 8 games...surely...
